This is the all-new Skoda Kodiaq vRS! Unveiled at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, this is the first SUV to feature the high-performance vRS badge. With the option for either 5 or 7 seats, this powerful SUV will be able to hit 237hp along with 0 - 60 in seven seconds. But coming in at around -40, 000, would you consider the Kodiaq vRS over other SUV alternatives? Join Mat in his latest Top 10 overview and see what you think!

I'm surprised more mainstream manufacturers aren't doing sporty versions of their SUV's, given their popularity. That said, a 240bhp diesel is a very half-hearted attempt, especially given the extra bulk it needs to move. People don't buy sporty version s of any car because they want good economy. I don't have an issue with them making a diesel at this performance level, but they shouldn't be calling it a vRS, they should be making something with proper performance for that. I'm also surprised that they would choose the Kodiaq to give the vRS treatment to first. It would make more sense to do the Yeti or the Karoq, which must sell in higher numbers and given their smaller size would be easier to make performance versions of.

This car now does everything other don-t. Like fit 6 foot drivers in with 6 foot passengers. Even the 5 series doesn-t. It-s hot, looks good. Keep up with the best. Work like a van, transport kids and friends in style rather than a galaxy. Sorry but this car ticks every box for me. It-s on my 2 buy list. Coming from a VW Touareg owner for last 4 years. New Touareg is brutally made for Chinese market and all chrome. No chrome in sight here. Well done skoda you won me back after having a superb for 4 years! VRS ticks the box for me

It's shite, that's what it is. The only thing it's good at is -practicality-, i. e. the available space. And it still looks like a retarded and inflated Superb. It's still fat, cumbersome, slow, sounds like a tractor (despite fake engine sounds, smells like a tar refinery, and gives everyone in half mile radius cancer. 9: 29 is slower than some bloody vans. Stop being such a fanboy parroting Skoda's made-up category. They make cars that are soul-less tools for people who just need a cheap and practical car with average reliability.

I hope they stiffen the suspension up, as I was given a middling 2l Zafira that had about 170bhp, and it was to quick for its chassis, we had it about 4 days, and every time I had any one in the car they felt sick. I wasn't even trying to go quick, as it was like driving a boat around my local B roads.
So I like the Idea of a quicker SUV, but I'd much prefer a quicker is Estate over an SUV all day long. I'd all so rather have a quick hatch over an estate, but life.

The Toyota Highlander in the U. S gets a 300 horsepower naturally aspirated v6. The Volkswagen Atlas gets a 270 horsepower naturally aspirated vr6. The Honda Pilot gets a 280 horsepower naturally aspirated v6. The Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and the Buick Enclave get a 310 horsepower naturally aspirated v6. The Nissan Pathfinder gets a 270 horsepower naturally aspirated v6.

47mpg my ARSE! my standard 2 ltr Kodiaq barely does 43, and its supposed to do 50+ I used to have an Octavia VRS and bought the Kodiaq because I was told it would be cheaper to run. all I got was a thirsty car that is slower and less economical than my previous one (which even though it was a VRS could return up to 60mpg if I wanted)

What a car I want one! With a stage 1 remap you'll be pushing close to 300hp take the whole family On a adventure day out traveling at a good pace over those b roads! This been diesel is perfect for what it will be used for!

I have been a diesel lover for year. However the SMMT, RMIF and Motoring Journalists have done NOTHING to fight the corner for modern efficient Euro 6 DTemp engines, so in reality the VRS Kodia is born to die!

Nothing to get excited about the Skoda Kodiaq RS as it has under the bonnet, a twin-turbocharged 2. 0-litre Diesel engine, I wonder why they went for diesel instead of petrol unlike the Octavia RS.
