Porsche is a sports car. Performance driving is not drag racing. Acceleration is the least important aspect of performance driving. One can easily build a 10 second 1/4 street car for cheap if that-s the goal. Well below the Tesla-s price point. The Porsche is designed to change direction and carry high corning speeds. It would completely destroy the Tesla on a road course/track on mechanical grip alone. That-s before throwing in the grocery getters battery and motor heat fade. The utter lack of range makes EV-s terrible fun cars. Can-t take them to the mountains, desert, or auto cross due to zero recharge availability. EV-s remain city cars running from one errand to the next. Everyone I know owning one of these things, has a SUV for when they actually go do something other than running about town. Meanwhile, the Porsche can accompany one on a trip to Vegas or a run up the coast. Through canyons and blasting around the track with repeated power and precision.

The only shocking result was braking test. I was sure Porsche will get that one easy.
But being that test is flawed (depends heavily on drivers reaction time, I would ask this:
Matt, can you have your professional equipment installed in all those cars when drag racing, so it will measure their actual numbers. You can show those numbers at the very end of the video, as I understand that these drag race videos are entertainment first and I am OK with that. Plus, it would have additional suspense.

Saying the Porsche will obviously come past at some point is just as relevant as saying the Tesla will obviously take off better. UK roads VS the Autobahn never mattered before in these drag races/rolling races so I'd say the Porsche won. not even a Porsche fan, just saying -

It's hilarious that people think in real life situations these gas car would ever have a chance, unless u driving 2 o'clock in the morning, the porsh is never winning, too much stop and go, by the time u slow down to maneuver around traffic the tesla is gone

Don-t see how he can say the Tesla wins the rolling races when every time the Porsche comes past him. There-s no marker for the -end- of the rolling races, therefore, wouldn-t the Porsche be the winner? I-d take that Porsche all day over the Tesla.

Have had both of these cars. Still prefer the 911, by a long shot. There's much more to a driving experience than how fast it goes in a straight line, and sadly many Telsa fanboys don't realize that. they only see 0-60 and quarter mile times

Mat, the Tesla is not a performance model just look at the rims, they are the 19 inch 'Sport Wheels' but a performance model comes standard with the Underturbine wheels so that Model 3 could not have been the performance model.
