I have had an accord type r imo one of the best cars ever put on the road. not the fastest but. it gives the best feedback which is essential when you going 100%. I got a fn2 which I've come to love very underrated. and finally got an immaculate dc5. all these cars look great especially dc5. this new civic type r look absoloutely hideous! I trained in product design, and the new type r is a disaster! I love Honda's and type r philosophy but this new design. oh man! HORRID!

LOL - everyone who complains about this car being FWD. Do you all even know how to drive FWD cars? Like you reached max level of FWD driving, and you are really finding out that RWD or AWD is more fun to drive? Do you even know how FUN it is to drive a very well made FWD cars on corners? 99% of you probably picked up -RWD is more fun- quote from other people, copying/pasting. Before complaining about FWD cars, learn everything you can to drive one, then complain.

Slowly turning an affordable and great to drive fashionable car model into an ugly unpractical overly expensive waste of time. What's up with those closed honeycomb fake air intakes on the front and rear? They're almost 40% of the body surface. and those softer side bolsters are gonna wear out rapidly. The price tag on these cars is laughable, I'd like nothing more than a modern day ep3 or ek9 on my drive but this is as far away from that as my A5: (

I personally like how the car looks, especially compared to the previous generation. The most important fact is that I felt like I was dressing the car when I sat in the driver seat, it felt so engaging and the shifts are simply amazing. I would so love to have one, too bad I'm just a university student and can't afford it(yet at least. Hopefully by the time I graduate will be able to find a second hand one: D

it looks a mess, esp when comparing to the FD2 (Asian version) and the RR blows it away on styling. fake carbon, c'mon honda, should've been non-textured flat blk plastic, u come off a toss with fake carbon. where is the race engineers/designers influence at honda? - replaced by accountants and marketing most likely. but after I drive it, I know i'll get it.

This car is menacing! I was going to get the new STI, though compared to this beast the STI is a bit to conservative for me now. Everyone has their own taste. To call this car ugly though is a bad joke, making me judge your lack of tast in modern art.
I love the sti, though the type-r has visually captured me.

if thay made it awd i think it would loose what the type r is about and would become like any other awd performance car and loose that engaging drive. love the mad look so not like the other performance cars not suttle but like it or hate it its very shouty

The only thing that bugs me really is the size. it doesn't look like a hatchback? It looks like the same size as an M5 or something, maybe that's just how it appears on the screen, but I want all that power and dope looks but with the hatchback sizing

Stylewise its an eyesore, if it can prove to be one of the better handling cars in its price market( the dealer will want 40, 000usd) than its done something awsome ti'll then the other options are much nicer
