A few points on the w123, they made 2. 7 million, not 2. 4 and it has a 4 speed gearbox, but you didn't seem to push the kickdown button so it set of in 2nd gear, hence why many think they are 3 speed, also they shift on lower revs. Same with the Hammer, you didn't push the pedal hard enough, then again we're talking million dollar cars here so probably just as good.

my dads bmw x6 msport 2015 does nought to 60 in 5. 9 seconds on sport + and 160mph and we actual did this on the french moter way since we needed to catch the ferry so not bad for a 3. 0 lt v6 whith 325hp ay
so its faster than the g63 than the g63 mat showed

Consider the A45s is a 17 years younger than CLK Black and has to use launch control and 4 wheel drive system in order to get 0-60 under 4 sec. the CLK is a legend in its era and not slow at all even in 2021!

So the Hammer 6: 11 (Mercedes-Benz 300CE 6. 0) got 7. 78 sec for 0-60mph, while other sources list it with 5. 8 sec! Thats an enormous difference, maybe the engine was not in perfect condition.

Something else we've learnt. Classic Mercedes look much better, sound better and are more luxurious. So in a sense car makers haven't come far at all, they've gone backwards.
