New Fiat 500 Electric review - better than the Honda e?

The all-new Fiat 500 is here, and it-s got a surprise in store for you- It-s gone 100% electric! That-s right, the cute little 500 is now only available as an EV. With it, you get a choice of two sizes of battery. The smaller is a 24kWh battery which will give you a range of 115 miles, while the larger one (which we-re reviewing here) is a 42kWh, which will provide you with 199 miles of range. In terms of the design, on the outside you-ll find a handful of minor updates, but it-s on the inside where the 500-s had a real overhaul, with an all-new infotainment system and a big style upgrade! The problem is, while it initially looks good, once you get a bit more up close & personal you realise the quality isn-t all that great! So when you-re spending a minimum of -23, 000 on one, coupled with the fact there are so many small EVs to choose from these days, is it really think it-s worth it! Mat-s about to find out in his latest in-depth review!

I love the way today's cars look outside, but why, oh gods why, do they look so boring inside. You're the driver, you look at the insides 99% of the time you own the car, why are they so cheap plasticy and not great looking? Manufacturers should try to step up their game in this direction. Industrial designers make such great sketches of the interiors, why aren't they implemented? Yeah it's cute fial got those little cars in there but that's just graphics.
But again, it's a cheap car so.
Just why it doesn't look cheap on the outside? You can pay for a premium paint, why not premium interior?

You're a great presenter and its a real shame you don't work with Chris Harris on Top Gear and replace one of the other numpties who are totally at sea and shouldn't be part of the series. Perhaps you should notify the series producer about your presence though I'm sure they're probably happy with their current lineup even though it doesn't work. The beeb have limited ability to make good decisions these days sadly. That said, if you were to spend a few weeks having an intense sun lamp course or did your reviews in a wheelchair you'd probably be a shoo-in.

The honda looks just. HORRIBLE UGLY. Only some japan cars fanatic could say something good about that design, because they can't see and can't think other way than. kamikaze- fanatic, of course-. They invented paradigma about -monsters of reliability- which should be japanese cars, EVEN IF THEY are in service all the times with their own --

After taking a very enjoyable extended test drive of a 500e, establishing that it goes at least as fast as my Twingo GT and also fits into my garage, the local dealer made me an offer I could not refuse. So, I have ordered a new 500e Passion in Rose Gold which I should collect by the end of the month.

I love the 500e. Ordered my new 1 in October and finally get on Wednesday. at end of March! Nonetheless, I can't wait until Wednesday.
I test drove the Renault Zoe and the Honda. but for me the 500e stood out a mile. joy of choosing cars, totally subjective

Oh, manual door handles are such an inconvenience - I'm always completely exhausted before I even sit in the car. So let's _add_ some electric ones. And it's great you have to keep the manual ones as well, because modern cars are too light anyway.

I realy love small cars. and the new 500e is realy my kind of car. so pritty. im checking the cars prices though, and the options make no freaking sense, you pay more for less options?

I remember the insane amount of different electrical problems on my old Fiat Bravo.
Now you can get a pure electric Fiat.
I'm impressed it didn't malfunction under the review.

I don't understand how the 500 is such a big seller. No way you can fit a family of four in there and all their stuff. At some point a car is too small to be practical.
