Audi R8 V10 review: see how quick it really is

Mat-s got his hands on the Audi R8 V10 Performance! It-s the most powerful version of the Audi R8 you can buy, and we have to say, it-s an absolute monster! With a 5. 2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 powering all four wheels, it-ll deliver 620hp and 580Nm, while also hitting 60mph in a claimed 3. 1 seconds! But of course, if this isn-t your first carwow review, then you-ll know that the claimed 60mph times aren-t always 100% correct. So what do you think - will Mat be able to hit it in under 3. 1 seconds? Or will the winter roads prove to be his downfall?

I own exactly the same one. The sound is just amazing. It's hard to beat on the 1/4 mile. It's a hyper car no doubt. On a dry circuit you can easely do the 0 to 60 miles in 2. 8 seconds. You can drive it on the road, but the engine just screams for acceleration. The sound again. On a circuit cornering is just so much fun. I say even more it's faster then the GT3 and the GT3 RS on a circuit. No doubt. It's not a road car for long distances. No hyper car is in my opinion. It's built to race. In my case, I just stored it with low kilometers on it. I got already some good offers, but I can not sell the R8. It's the best enjoyable hyper car from Audi. Crazy I know, but I love it too much. My wife once said, what if you have to choose between me and the R8. I answered. I hope it never comes to that.

The EU apparatchiks need to pass regulations that compel automobile companies to make sports cars with V8 (or larger) naturally aspirated engines. Can't they do this one small thing to benefit hearts and souls? (Sure, Boris can forbid their import to the UK: not really appropriate for a retirement community)

I still wish Audi had made their own engine for this car. I mean, it didn-t have to be a Diesel V8 or anything, but they still could-ve worked their magic with a V10 of their own.

I don't really understand why manufacturers make the wireless charging slots so small, why not just make them big enough to accommodate any phone without question.

2: 09 I don't want to be that guy but after so many cars how could you call that thing a wing, it's a clear a day that it's a spoiler. nice video though!

I would rather have the Audi R8, Had a 5. 2 V10 S6 previously, lovely engine and if you get the limiter taken off and tuned up, it surprises a few supercars.

haha that typical German Mentality to castrate the rpm limiter. Its a crime to howl the engine in Germany mostly ever were haha guess thats the reason haha

Between the looks huracan! All day everyday! Most people will confuse an r8 with an Audi TT - you can't confuse a huracan with anything else!

Since 80% of your viewers are from America, why don't you put it in MPH and Fahrenheit instead of kilometers per hour and Celsius thank you

just for referement, car and driver tested an eu spec R8 V10 plus in 2016 and got a 0 60 mph of just 2. 6 seconds. Same did motortrend.
