Is it time to forget about two of the most popular ICE saloons out there, the 3 Series & C-Class, and go for the all-electric Tesla Model 3? Well, Mat-s about to find out! In this video, he-s going to delve deep into each car to see which is the right choice for you. From their exterior & interior styles through to their driving ability and boot space, Mat-s going to see whether all-electric power is the best choice for you in 2021. In terms of price & performance, they-re all relatively evenly matched. We-ve brought in the hybrid editions of the 3 Series & C-Class, so as a result, they all cost around -40, 000. When it comes to power, the C-Class leads it, with its 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine & electric motor delivering 312hp. Its 25kWh battery pack will also allow you to drive for over 60 miles on electric power alone! As for the BMW, the engine size is the same, but it can only put down 292hp. Its battery pack is also much smaller, at 12kWh. And then finally we have the Tesla. It-s the entry-level Standard Range Plus model, so it only has a single electric motor which provides 272hp. It also has a claimed range of 278 miles. So which will come out on top today?

I Never Knew You
21 -Not everyone who says to Me, -Lord, Lord, - shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, -Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? - 23 And then I will declare to them, -I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness! -
Build on the Rock
24 -Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 -But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall. -
Matthew 7: 21-27
21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one-s religion is useless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
James 1: 21-27

I love your reviews, but I wish you'd stop cutting the Tesla quality slack. The interior is barely better than a Yugo. Every plastic interior component feels like it could break at any moment. The seats don't breath in the summer heat, because they are plastic. The center console feels like you could bump it and it would come off. The door panels are from Harbor Freight.
I have two friends with Model 3s: performance and long range. One was delivered with NO CLEAR COAT ON THE ENTIRE PASSENGER SIDE, AND A PAINT DRIP ALL THE WAY DOWN THE DRIVER'S DOOR. The other had BOTH REAR TAIL LIGHTS FULL OF WATER upon delivery.
They both get 240 miles with a year of ownership--not even talking about cold weather range. So, we sit at the supercharger a lot. Plus, the supercharger is almost as expensive as buy gas. Took my friend with the performance 26 hours to drive from Salt Lake to LA. 26 hours. The 110v charging time of 13. 5 hours is super cool too. You have to plan your entire lifestyle around your Tesla.
Teslas are one-trick ponies. I haven't even discussed getting service on your Telsa yet. That's a hilarious experience.
Teslas are still city cars with ever-diminishing range, and very sketchy reliability as the months roll by.

If you compare fuel, maintenance and tax at 15000km per year a Tesla saves about 2000- per year (Germany.
Compare -Tesla Model 3 Standard- with Audi A4, BMW 320 or MB C-Class (no Hybrid, about 200HP, almost similar equipped)
The Model 3 cost 38k- after subsidies, List price for Audi, BMW or MB is at least around 50k-. No dealer will sell them below 40k-.
And BEV owner can sell a -green house award- (THG Quote -> Treibhaus Gas Quote) each year for about 300-.
It-s fun to drive a Model 3 and over 10 years it saves more than 20. 000- compared to similar ICE cars.

Just activate stuff with the voice control Matt. In the Tesla I'm told it works quite well. The screen may be beautiful on the tesla, it may work very well, but it looks like somebody just threw in a monitor. It's not integrated into the car. I think it's pretty obvious that that is there for lower cost and perhaps manufacturing simplicity.

You're boring with that Tesla. it's a tablet on wheels, not a car! How can you even compare it to the BMW 3 or C-Class which are cars with soul and tradition? It is obvious that Tesla gave you a car for your mother and now -you have to do it with good reviews-. Poor thing, because I liked to follow you and now I will stop following you -

The model 3 is starting to show it's age as the category has grown larger with the latest redesigns. The model 3 was targeting the F30 BMW so it is the same size as that but outclassed by the new larger 3 series as far as dimensions. It is by far the smallest car with least amount of interior of all the cars in this comparison.

I actually love the hump on the middle floor area of the back seat way more than the Tesla flat floor. A 3rd passenger would just have to spread their legs apart.
That has never been a problem in the history of car ridership.
Let's be frank, the Tesla really looks way too cheap and ugly in the interior for the cost.

i kind of get sick watching these videos with these high frequent video cuts and perspektive changes. they talk about a detail, show it for less then a second and then show something else or from distance again. Super annoying, all the things they were showing in the first seconds of the video are like I didn't see them.

Before buying an EV, consider that charging on the highway currently costs. 55 eur per kw/h, and that some EVs need 35kw/h per 100 km, while other more efficient ones - 20kw/h - if you use your AC and if you drive with the speed of 120km/h- consider that the BMW 330e g20 needs around 5. 5L per 100 km on the highway.
reply

Is this not a bit comparing the weak points of the hybrids with the strong points of the EV (eg charging speed, and boot capacity) without considering the strong points of both hybrids (eg. versatility. You actually can drive a hybrid to places and countries where there are no or very little charging points.
