These sounds remind me of the good old days, when EG/EK Civics, MR2-s, Corolla-s etc were current. 160hp was enough to have fun in, and the whole neighbourhood despised the sound of your angry bee-like exhaust.
Today is not the same. Two times the horsepower in a Golf R just sucks.

Hachiroku is not about drag racing.
Just add curves and watch the heavy overpowered beasts eat their own tires and brakes.
Can't put power down when you're pushing the front end and the 86 is dialing in oversteer with rear wheel drive.

Interesting drag race, considering I've just watched 5 hot hatches / coupes (RS3, AMG, 38k Golf R) all do the quarter-mile in 12ish seconds, would have thought the two BTCC cars would have beaten them. slightly down on power but lighter.

The AE86 it's a a one of the best models and never get oldest and keeping a expensive car - I would like to have a one of that model (corolla 1. 6 twin cam 16) or (celica 2. 0 turbo) anyway great vedeo mate -

182hp is incredible for a 16v 4A-GE that looks totally bone stock from the outside, the stock intake typically gets binned after the 160hp mark at most.

-carwow, get two F1 cars to race. Like the older RB hybrids, vs the renault that they used in top gear a while back. Love to see how that would work out.

AE86 is not the same class as the new corolla sport, you should use ST191 corona which toyota used to race the BTCC in mid 90's, it use a 2. 0 3S-GE engine
