Is the Lucid Air a worthy competitor to the Tesla Model S Plaid? Well, Mat s about to find out! He s teamed up with Ben Collins, AKA The Stig, to put the Lucid Air through its paces up the Goodwood hill, and trust us when we say it s absolutely out of this world! But then again, it s no surprise when you look at the stats. Powered by two electric motors, the Lucid Air is able to produce 1, 050hp and 1, 250Nm of torque. What s more, even though it s pretty heavy (weighing in at 2. 4 tonnes, it can still hit 60mph in just 2. 4 seconds! However, the Lucid Air hasn t just been produced for performance. Out on the road, it has a claimed range of 446 miles! So what do you think - is the Lucid Air better value for money over the Model S Plaid, with its starting price of 77, 400? It s time to find out!

Lucid all day. Once the tri-motor is out it will beat tesla in almost every single parameter. Although the plaid is a bit quicker in a straight line but the plaid is a tri-motor.
Luxury, fit/finish, interior space, range, efficiency, styling (argumentative) etc. Tesla wins in software, autopilot and straight line performance (tri-motor vs dual motor. Mind you the tesla single motor produces approx 350hp vs 670hp(max) for the the Lucid and the Lucid weighs significantly less.

What is the obsession with making family cars fast as hyper cars. when range is the most important real world factor.
Surely loosing one motor, halve power, would nearly double the range to over 800 miles but still have 500hp. so still seriously fast fir a family car.

Some say that he s banned from the town of Chichester, and that in a recent late night deal he bought a slightly dented white Fiat Uno from the Duke of Edinburgh. All we know is he s called the Stig.

Ha ha, good bants there for both, I felt I was in the car with you both. Love it. The AIR is an incredible car. Glad to see the transition away from ICE is not all doom and gloom!

Don't WORRY Matt, we've got helmets!
BRILLIANT! !
(While we are on that subject: Have you ever wondered why Japanese camacazi pilots wore hemets )
Same story

I can see why the guys at Top Gear made him keep his helmet on. The bloke won't shut up! Bloody annoying Stig. Just put your white lid back on and just drive.

What baffles me is if the world goes electric and the ev technology improves most people will be driving in vehicles that do 0 to 60 in 3 seconds lol

Some say that Matt Watson has a picture of Stig in his wallet because he is Matt's actual father. All we know is that he never paid child support.

When we're 2/3 of the way into the video and the action hasn't started yet. .. well then you're not really watching a driving video, are you?
