New Ford Mustang: the ULTIMATE Muscle Car?

This is the all-new Ford Mustang. It s the latest generation of the iconic muscle car, and it may be the last one to get the thumping great V8 engine. The new Mustang is available with the same 2. 3-litre four-cylinder engine as before, however it s now got a new turbocharger. You can bet that it ll produce more than the 330hp of the current car, however power figures are under wraps for now. That s all well and good, but you want a mustang for the V8, don t you? Well you ll be pleased to hear that this latest iteration is still available with a glorious 5. 0-litre naturally aspirated V8. As with the four-cylinder, Ford hasn t spilled the beans on power yet, but it ll almost certainly have more than the current car's 450hp. That s not all, because Ford has revealed a track-focussed version of the Mustang called the Dark Horse. Sounds lairy right? Well Ford are projecting 500hp from this model, putting it right in the BMW M4 s firing line. You won t be able to get the mustang with all-wheel-drive, however you do have the option of a manual gearbox unlike its German alternatives. Jace: personally, the 5th gen mustang for me was the best retro look mustang, the 6th gen pre-facelift was the best mix of vintage and sleek modern look, while the 7th gen is definitely looks the most futuristic and chiseled mustang yet.

Problems
1. The badge.
2. Driving one in the UK is only acceptable if you are in your 20's or early 30's. And they can't afford the insurance.
3. The 1960's version is better, cooler and more head turning.

I saw the reveal livestream last night & I was shocked when the Dark Horse was revealed to be the newest member of the Mustang family. No new Mach 1, no new Shelby, no GT. 2. A brand NEW one.

imho this would be better with some muscular retro vibes. And the interior with big screens is just ugly and has no Mustang feel at all. Massive disappointment.

The back looks like as if the Mustang had a threesome with the Mach-e and a 6th gen Camaro Its not ugly per se but it will take some time to get used to

Performance boost is good, however the styling is a bit dated and tiresome to look at. What a wasted opportunity for Ford. A shame really.
