New Ferrari SUV: 725hp V12!

This is the new Ferrari Purosangue, the first ever SUV to wear the prancing horse badge. That said, Ferrari are refusing to admit that this is in fact an SUV, despite the raised ride height and tall four-door bodystyle Even though this is a first for the brand, there are plenty of design features which have been lifted from other Ferrari models. The headlights look a bit like those you ll find on the SP1 Monza, while the air vents behind the doors and the kinked side windows are rather Ferrari FF-esque. From the rear, the Purosangue looks a bit like a Ferrari Roma which has eaten one too many pies. It may be polarising, but you can t deny that this is one of the most imposing-looking new cars revealed in a long time. That raised bonnet is hiding something equally as impressive, a 6. 5-litre naturally aspirated V12 with 725hp and 716Nm of torque. This SUV has its sights firmly set on the W12 engined Bentley Bentayga Speed.

I think Ferrari s strategy is wrong. If they re so reluctant to build an SUV, then they simply shouldn t have. Fact they did, it should be a proper SUV, which would come in the form of practicality - full 5 seater, real off road ability, larger storage space. Yet, maintain the underlying Ferrari dynamic ability. to a degree (physics permitting) As it stands it s just an updated jacked up Lusso.

I really hate fake SUVs for the road so I ll already be biased about this car, however I love the fact that Ferrari are keeping the V12 alive despite increasingly tough restrictions. That is something I respect, even though I ll probably never own one in my lifetime

it s clear that you have a start, because the ferrari is the best and purebred with its own motor and more beautiful than your non-purebred and not interesting aston martin with someone else s motor and electronics, so ferrari is the best

Purest Ferrari on sale Because all the other V12s are already sold out. Well THIS ONE is already sold out too. The first 3 years of production is already gone. So if you want one. Its gonna be a used one.

Thing is. Ferrari said they would never make a SUV. Like Bentley, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, all the rest. So Ferrari designed something that isnt reaaaally, directly a SUV like those others.

I like it. It's stylish, sporty, and has a little touch of luxury as well. It has all the things you would want in a vehicle. And if it's very responsive as well, then great. you have a perfect car.

the Bentayga is the most hideous thing I've ever seen. That Ferrari is gorgeous. I don't know the dimensions, but it doesn't look as tall as a regular SUV, so I can see why they don't call it a SUV

Good review. The Ferrari badge makes it a bit more special, but my preference would be an off the peg Cayenne Turbo with the sports body kit. I am just a down to earth guy, I hate flashy cars.

Exceptional design. This joins the Roma as the two best looking vehicles in the world. My favorite SUV is my Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Its 345k less than this Ferrari. Still Made in Italy

If I had 400k laying around and wanted a suv/shooting brake crossover, this would be it. bravo, ferrari. but since I'm a mere mortal, I'll be saving for a porsche taycan sport turismo.
reply

Why Ferrari? For heavens sake, why? You were the last one standing without these outstanding ridiculous type of cars. The late Enzo is rotating in his grave. Its a shame! Period!
reply

Id have the aston as its fun when you want it yo he but whrn you wanna just do proper suv things, it will do that too. It does everything for quite abit less than any of the rivals

I have conflicted feelings. The interior is gorgeous, the looks. i m not sure of. The V12 is awesome, but the idea of a ferrari suv is blasphemous. i can t make up my mind
reply

Looks more like a sedan one a station wagon than an SUV, but it could be called an SUV depending on interior room and storage. I'd compare it to the Porsche Panamera.
