Which is quickest - a Porsche Panamera Turbo S, or a BMW M5 CS? Well, it s time to find out! First off, let s see how these two beasts compare. Starting with the M5 CS, it s powered by a 4. 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can put down 635hp and 750Nm of torque. As you d expect, it powers all four wheels and it tips the scales at 1, 825kg. All that power doesn t come cheap, though - it ll set you back around 141, 000! Next up we have the Porsche. It s packing a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 under the bonnet that s good for 630hp and 820Nm of torque. It s heavier than the BMW, though, at 2, 080kg. However, it s also ever so slightly cheaper, at around 140, 000.

I've seen the Panamera turbo struggle against a regular M5, either Matt is showing his age and forgotten to switch to sport or Porsche begged you to not make them look bad. Lol. A Porsche is a Porsche but the only one that matters is the 911. Everything else is just for variety or sales.

Remember that the Porsche is not a lightweight edition. It almost draw with the M5CS. I like too much the M5CS, i consider its the best BMW along the M2CS, but Porsche engineering its superior. That porker Panamera its 200 kg heavier. PDK is the best gearbox ever made.

for all who want to know what he said, here an translation: 03: 02: ah i missed the start
03: 52: now comes the bmw
05: 06: i think the cars are really almost identical, it really depends.
And how much you move the steering wheel

I am German, I watch the Car Wow drag races since years, and I will continue to do so, but have also a look at the German. Was fun to watch, and I liked that the new guy from Germany spoke also German. ;-)

For the rolling race, I think the BMW has on both tests (comfy and sport settings) the gearbox reaction speed set to the max (visible on the right of the actual gear selected)
reply

Matt why do not you put cars in NEUTRAL gearbix settings?
Threre is no soft/rev limiter then! (porsche for sure as I drive panamera turbo) You should know that.

reply

A less powerful, heavier less aerodynamic estatey car, loses a race to the supertuned more powerful lighter more aerodynamic hyper saloon. Well there's a shocker!
reply

Why not do the brake test independently and with your GPS kit? Then you don't need a special line on the road and it's without reaction times
reply

1: 53. Especially for the the Germans because they like things a little bit more serious
I live in Germany and I know something about it.

WE need the standard Tesla Model S LR in this race next time. It has about the same stats as the Porsche, even 10 kg lighter than the Porsche.
reply

I wonder how will the panamera turbo s e hybrid will perform against the CS aswell as the gt63e. I hope race will happen soon between them.
reply

The translation from German to English is a wee bit off! It's nothing like what Daniel said, which is obviously done on purpose. Brilliant!
reply

The ultimate M5 cs.
I can't get over these wheels.
I never thought the porches had a chance.
Mat skipped line on the third drag

reply

With these kind of performance for family-sedans, there isn't many reasons to get a supercar with less practicality and comfort. Bonkers!
