These stats are all for show, ' Oooooooooo I've got 2 million horsepower ', complete waste of time and money when you can shred a set of tyres and empty the tank but not travel 50 yds before you do, what's the point? , why not give the challenger 4WD, it's nuts that they don't, the Cybertruck will beat both for less money, Imagine the Cybertruck Plaid, and the 911 Turbo S would demolish them all with 350 less hp, less is more as they say.

As usual. a lot of useless power. If you don't have an AWD vehicle, it's very difficult to handle that huge power (1000hp. in the rolling race the Charger showed what it is able to do. I like both the vehicles, but I would choose the truck; it's absolutely great, and I'm not talking about the performance only. Thanks for the video. eventually a nice video about true cars (one is a truck, sorry, not toys like EV.

carwow: the americans are so cheep and stingy that they can make a 4-wheel drive (using an SUV-s AWD tech) RAM car since the 90-s. but they cannot up the game with their muscle cars to finally get the proper traction with all of that power by just using a similar 4-wheel drive system with a classic electronic differential. That way they would be competitive to the European sportscars again.

Mat, all the drag race vids are now getting a tad samey. How about a mpg challenge for a change. A real one, undertaken on your typical roads in typical everyday traffic. One gallon of fuel in an empty tank and off the opposing cars go untill out of fuel. MPG is far more important than MPH for most drivers once they have reached puberty.

Having driven a Charger R/T Scat pack in the US as a rental (Basically an SRT without the supercharger. I love the Chargers. So my choise would be the Charger. Even though it's heavy, it's a perfectly practical car, lots of space, huge trunk, and great looks. Only car allowed to have rear lights that run the entire rear in my opinion: -D

Typical poorly built, unreliable, leadfooted, Yank pig iron! All the power with zero control or finesse resulting in the fact that a German/Japanese/Euro car with WAY less power would out accelerate, out top speed and well and truly annihilate either of these round the bends. Old School Yank shite haha!

Going over about 600HP in the Charger without drag radials doesn't improve performance from a dig. If you have drag slicks on a prepped track, yes, you will turn great times. But if you are on street tires, adding 300HP to the Hellcat is useless under 100mph

That's the big problem with US cars. It doesn't matter how much horsepower you have if you can't put it down. So they making 800, 900 and 1, 000 horsepower cars doesn't matter, the European all wheel drive cars are still going to kill them!

Ah yes, the excessive government sponsored waste of resources called a sports pick-up truck. Best possible option to pick-up a pizza around the corner with as it can fit a very large pizza and takes you home really fast.

Those tuned 1000hp Hennessy blah blah blah will get destroyed by a stock M340i which isn't a real M. American vehicles are just about numbers and loud noise but doesn't even put its rated power down effectively

Charger would have done much better in the drag if launched in 2nd and then shortly shifted into 3rd. Amazing how they have the TRX and extra 300hp and ran the same 1/4mile as a stock truck

You guys are so called car journalists and should know that Dodge Ram are two different companies, It's either Dodge or Ram. Ram makes trucks and Dodge makes everything else since they split in 2009.

Never saw the point in Hellcats. Can't even put stock power down. That truck though. Thats where that engine should be.
The Hellcat would have been better off on stock power with awd.

America: We ve built this car with 1 billion horsepower!
Rest of World: Wow! Must be fast!
America: Yes, but you can t deploy the power so it s slower to a 1/4 mile than an MG 4.

Thats why noone buying chargers anymore, there are too many AWD cars thats are faster, and in cities or in small roads awd releasing power way much better then just RWD, so no surprises

The driver is really scared that's all, 707 hp charger is dangerous try 1000 hp. Lots of people think they can handle the 707 and the cars always end up crashing.

Wouldn't trust Hennessey as far as I could spit - the prick has screwed over way too many of his customers and their warranty coverage outside of Texas is nonexistent

Mammoth. Having that much power sounds cool but without putting it down, it is just a headache all the time. I would like to see it in the summer though.

I love the TRX, wonder what tyres they are running on it though as they are limited from factory as there is no suitable tyres rated for above 113 mph haha

Sometimes it's not the car it's the driver. Definitely wasn't a good driver for the Charger in my opinion. Looked like he was taking a dump while driving
