Can someone please tell me WHAT was the point of putting all that power in to that Corvette? All that money on all that power, but still putting it through just two wheels thus getting trounced by a 'fridge'. And 11 seconds was the best it could do? Only a few days ago CW posted their video of a stock GT4RS doing 11. 3 straight out of the box, a stock R8 Spyder 11. 7 IN THE RAIN and even Chevrolet's own Z06 hitting 11. 2 straight off the showroom floor! I'm petrol through and through, and impressive as that Tesla is, I will still ALWAYS gun for the ICE car over it. but this was a terrible advertisement for the work of that tuning shop (pretty embarrassing really.

Real world traction issues = Gasoline Engine losing every time.
Electric cars adjust traction on launch 1000x second vs like twice or once a second with gas cars. I mean a porsche 911 turbo s with all wheel drive and 1000hp AND PREPPED TRACK is the only thing I've seen walk a Plaid Model S without spending twice the money of a boosted 911 turbo s OR 300K. And you're spending like 300k to beat a 100k electric family car. Wait till the 2024 Roadster or the 1000hp Taycan turbo GT Porsche then I think it's gonna be common to just slam all the gasoline cars. It's old tech! We just need the battery tech to catch up to the motor tech.

I still think the Model -S should have a drag race mode (or street race. Considering the technology in the car I want a mode where I can tell it I'm doing street/drag racing and it should keep the car just a nose in front of the other car.
Of course if I was drag racing Model-S plaid I would remove the battery and replace it with a smaller swappable battery that would reduce the weight of the car by around 1000 pounds. It will only give you maybe two drags but considering that most top end drag vehicles needs A LOT of maintenance. You can easily fit in a 5 minute battery swap between runs.

Stop racing electric cars with petrol cars. Especially high performance electric cars. There is no way that Vette was running properly. At the most 500 HP.
I m neither a Tesla fan boy or any American made garbage car fan boy. I believe in logic and that was a pathetically illogical race.

You just look like a wanker who yells 'Yeah but I have 1200hp'. Even a standard Porsche Turbo S does a quarter mile in around 10 seconds.
That car would've given the Plaid a good fight.

Rematch H2R vs Chiron SS and bring Agera RS too because previous race was horrible H2R wheelied and lost roll race i expect second roll race but it never happened
Do 3 rolling races in all gears
Chiron SS 1st gear at 40 or 50 mph
Agera RS in 2nd at 50 mph
H2R 2nd gear at 50 mph or 60 mph rolling race
or 70 mph rolling race

I'm a car guy through and through and I love ICEs, but you shouldn't lie to yourself in believing that an ICE is better than an E-motor. An E-motor beats an ICE in every aspect besides emotion. It's simple physics. And EVs are only at the beginning, wait a few years and you'll be blown away from the performance even more.

Thank you for all the videos and the content which we love but I m sorry this was a missed opportunity to put that corvette against like a suited up Audi r8 or a skyline gt or a Lamborghini like it s waste of time racing it against an electric vehicle such a wasted opportunity so boring lmaooo

You really need a proper dragster to beat these new high power EVs on a quarter mile. Or step up to half mile. And the Model S Plaid isn't even the fastest anymore. Thats just the end of combustion engine cars on quarter mile

I've never seen a Streetcar that can put its power down so efficiently. Time and time and time again the Plaid gives the same launch, the same 0 to 60, the same 1/8 Mile time, the same 1/4 mile time, it's amazing.

I would want a refund on the vette; you would be watching that thinking I ve wasted all that time and effort; a Nissan gtr would have been better money spent. Or new just the turbo s stock or save money with a m5 comp

The corvette was misfiring it's brains out on every run. Hats off to the owner for keeping it in the races.

I'd like to see this race when the Corvette is in proper mechanical condition and actually making 1200 hp, as well as shifting properly. I'll bet the outcome would be much different!
