A remap JUST to make it pop n bang Compensating for inadequacies I'd still take that lovely GTR over the camp Tesla any day! The GTR can do these drags AND could then also do as many laps of a track as he feels like or fuel allows. The Tesla would struggle to do much more than one or two laps before limp mode. Then factor in the horrendous environmental impact of EV production, the fact that the charging for EVs is done mostly by burning coal in inefficient and dirty old powerstations. That is without going into Teslas poor reliability, laughable build quality and hilarious secondhand values!

Sure the tesla is heavier but that only matter when launching or acceleration and then after that. weight does not matter and the hp will take over which mean 1020hp --) 810hp plus the torque, again even the tesla is heavier, the torque is also a lot more than the GTR. But in my opinion, i would still choose the GTR because tesla is like a pretty girl with no soul.
Oh heavier car is harder to brake.

Sorry to say. pretty much every single Tesla driver, drives the vehicle's like a grandma that is having a heart attack. They are the slowest and most incompetent on the road out of all car makers. There is no point having a fast Telsa if no one drives them how it should be driven or perhaps we should just automatically ban the drivers license of anyone who owns a Tesla.

Tesla has gimmicks. Speed is irrelevant as it will use up all its crap range anyway. This is what i find when out in my 23 year old M-Sport. Seems to bait/annoy EV's with its lovely 3 litte engine and custom exhaust. So they have their little ego boost 30 seconds then have to move over as their range has dropped.

What this shows is that 3 motors is better than 1. Gtr 800hp sharded between 4 wheels 200 hp per wheel, Tesla 1000hp 333 hp to each front wheel 333hp shared across the 2 rear. Lets see what happens if we ever get a twin engined car to race the Tesla. Theres a 1000hp twin engine golf out there, lets see that.

Nissan not making 810 to the wheels. Crank horse power is not good enough to compare with ev 1020 whp. In reality the Nissan making 680-700 whp. A heavy track hawk would run 9s with 1020 whp. This comparison isn’t good. I know weight plays a roll but power difference is very significant.

Carwow please address to the masses that Teslas hp figures are literally WHP figures as there’s no drivetrain losses!
This race is 1020 WHP vs roughly 680WHP
By ignoring this you are creating a false narrative and many think an electric hp is somehow more powerful.

I truly don’t care that plaid thing can beat a Nissan GTRS NIsmo just because it can go fast means nothing, I’d buy that nismo all day long every day because it will trump that overpriced torch battery in more way than one and it looks better in every way

I think the GTR put in a very decent performance against the Tesla. GTR isn’t my type of car, but what a lot of performance for the money. How would the GTR fair against a std 992 Turbo S (Turbo is a 10. 1 sec 1/4 isnt it)

but still at the end of the day its a tesla. its ugly, soulless and dry. Made for normies (tesla fankids) Sure its quick and can do the 1/4 mile really well (cause thats all it can do) but in every other category its garbage.

That’s just pure grunt. Way more power, way more torque and enough of both to overcome the weight penalty. It’s the age old Precision Tool vs Sledgehammer.
Fair play to Nick, he really committed to the EV sound bit

To be fair, the GTR is outgunned on paper here. But it takes an R35 to keep up with a silly electric family hypercar off the line (which still does 0-60 like nothing else, even after all these years.

Really shows the future of motoring when a gigantic 6 seater van can destroy a tuned GT-R. As someone who has owned many petrol powered sports cars, I'm ready for the all EV future, bring it on.

No wonder will TESLA is killing every major brands on this planet. half the price, better performance, much more reliable, 0 use cost, almost free to charge, drive by itself etc, no brainer

Can you compare the fuel economy and range whenever racing EV against ICE I'd like to know how much fuel the Nissan consumed compared to how much of its battery capacity the Tesla used.

If you had used all the GTR power, with lauch control 4400 Rpm, making manual gear shift 6700 rpm, you would have won. But all these variables haven't been properly executed.

Love seeing Tesla wipe the floor with legacy auto. PS if you’re going to drive your ice cars hard, make sure to apply the difficult conditions maintenance schedule

When will people stop comparing ice cars with 200-300 hp more ev cars, its proven that weight does not much effect ev cars due to the torque and power delivery.

It’s insane that a 6 seater 2. 5 ton suv can beat a full on tiny supercar that’s a built from the ground up performance beast with tuning!
