What does a 300, 000 mile oil change look like?

Learn how an oil sample taken during an oil change can tell you the condition of the engine in your car. With my Ford, I was curious about the condition of the engine after 300k miles. Are bearings worn? Is there a coolant leak? Is my oil protecting the engine? Sure you can do a compression test, but that only tell you so much. I could have used my borescope camera, but again, you only get so much info. With this oil analysis, you can learn a lot about the condition of your engine. What does the inside of a Fuel Filter look like after 300, 000 miles?

Our friends had a windstar. It spent so much time at the dealers, they had to take it back under the lemon law. They liked the vehicle but apparently it had many, many issues that just couldn't be fixed. The dealer even suggested the vehicle may have been hit by lightning at the dealership or somewhere on its way to the dealership from the manufacturer. It was all electrical issues and it didn't matter what they did to it, it continued to be plagued with electrical issues. I have seen several cars sent to the crusher after being hit by lightning. You cannot fix all the electrical issues once lightning has hit them.

When he said he will see how the engine works after 300000 miles, I'm thinking he's going to use a Dynojet or something to run some numbers

So change your engine gaskets Chris. Drive it and send another sample in and see if the anti freeze is no longer getting in the engine.

Interesting video, 300 K on the engine, but I wonder how is your transmission held up? Usually, Fords have issues with transmissions.
