Air conditioning compressor not working? Learn how to properly replace your air conditioning compressor so you can get cold air this summer! I show you how to replace an ac compressor in a Toyota Tacoma but the process is similar for any car or truck. This works for an A/C compressor clutch that wont engage and if you are not getting cold air because the compressor is bad. AC Manifold Gauges

I am replacing my compressor in my 2007 Infiniti g35x after having the same issue with my compressor. All said and done I will only spend around 370 on the repair (that includes tax. I am going ahead and swapping out the serpentine belt while I am at it, since I have to take the old one off anyway. Here were my costs, if people want a second reference!
AC compressor (comes with a bunch of o-rings, drier filter, expansion module, and compressor oil) was 327
Serpentine belt was 13
Freon (R134a) is 30
Manifold gauges and vacuum were FREE because I used the tool loaning service Autozone has and returned the tools once I was done.

Im curious why the car wizard says doing this is a bad idea. He says that when the compressor fails it throws metal pieces all through the lines and the dryer and that just replace it the compressor will cause it to fail again from debri damage. I wanna know what Chris thinks about it.

Dude why do these videos keep getting recomended to me after I find out these are wrong with mine? First it was a chipped windshield then a heater core then deferential oil change then transmission change then transfer case oil change now this. Chris is stalking me from the past lol

question, I own a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT 2001 and I'm in the process of buying the A/C compressor but for my vehicle there are 2 compressor types: a 3-line compressor and a 4-line compressor. How would I be able to determine that information from my vehicle?

bro i have a question regarding the Torque wrench, each time you put a screw you say this one will be torque for example 15 or 30 or 75, how do you know each screw which degree is the best for it? is it with screw size or?
Thanks a lot you are the best

Where can I go to remove the old refrigerant? And how much is it? Id rather not release it into the air(obviously.
Im going out to fix the ac compressor on my truck tomorrow so after I get it released this helped a lot! Thanks

The new compressor can get damaged unless the entire A/C system is thoroughly flushed of any metal filings from the old compressor. This may also include replacing the expansion valve and the receiver filter.

Really appreciate the videos. I learned a lot from this one and I'm going to be tackling changing a 2014 Nissan NV200 ac compressor, on the bottom, Lol. Just ordered the gauge and vacuum set. Here we go!

Great video but if your AC compressor locks up you will also need to replace the dryer, expansion orafice and condenser, you can reuse the lines if you blow them out with an air nozzle

Great video the only would have done differently is take the bolts that are hard to reach out 1st just basically to get out of the way and get the cursing & shouting done with
