We bought two identical 350zs and have been modifying them to be FUN, daily drivers that you can take to the track. Team Hi (James Pumphrey & Zach Jobe) get the expensive parts and Team Low (Nolan Sykes & Aaron Parker) get the cheap ones. Then we test them to see which components are actually worth spending the money on. If you want more power out of your Z, you really have to go forced induction. Which basically means, forcing more air into the engine to get more combustion. So

Definitely not the first person to say this, but this comparison really doesn't work. It introduces far too many variables. This is a comparison of small twins vs a single large, not expensive vs cheap. Should've found an expensive single turbo kit with the same size turbo as a cheap single turbo kit. Then it would be a comparison of what the extra money actually gets you.

the whole purpose of buying a turbokit and paying extra is because you have everything that bolts up correct, you are paying extra for convenience and something tried and tested. their is no excuse for such problems with fitment especially on a 8k kit. you were better off buying each piece individually and do a homemade kit, ive made homeade turbo kits for under 1000

Bro 3500 isnt a cheap turbo setup. My friend swapped a whole effin turbo engine into his mr2 for only 3500. If you're on the cheap you should have been looking for used turbos with no shift play. You'll realistically be better off with a fabricator than a kit. Also imho twin turbo system just arent needed anymore because turbo tech as evolved so much.

NEVER a good idea to put time constraints on a turbo install and tuning. Ive learned this the hard way MANY times. There is always problems associated with turboing an NA car from Factory. Just is. Even the best kits have some issues. Then driving that kinda distance on a basemap is even more sketch.

Loved the episode. Respect for 45 minute upload. Loved Nolan's frustration. I feel bad he got stuck with low-car this entire season. Is it because James is the boss? Either way very entertaining. I think this group has such a great dynamic. Always entertaining to watch

If y'all were worried about the length of this video, don't I would watch an hour and thirty minutes of thisEdit: Oh shit I just had a scary thought. This feels like a Roadkill episode at times. .. don't pull a Motortrend on us and go to a paid membership, please.

Yep, anyone that installs an aftermarket turbo kit once knows most of those problems, and it doesnt seem to matter how much the kit costs, bad connectors, wrong pieces, things not lining up, them things are always a pain.

Did anyone think to just disconnect the intercooler on hi car? If your running a stock tune just take the tipping of and use it as a regular but restricted intake the turbos can spool all they want then and it's no issue

both cars still make less horsepower than my grandma's Lincoln MKS, which has a 3. 7 liter ecoboost V6 making 355 horsepower to all four wheels. it's a luxurious beast, so technically it's better than both of your 350Zs
