Rules ruin racing, the whole point is to push car manufacturers to push their design to become better and market their products. Rules are destroying innovation and making all the cars the same. I dont think fans would mind if some years certain cars came with innovations and annihilated the field. Those cars would become iconic for being innovative and other manufacturers would soon catch up, benefiting design and making racing have another exciting element that being the engineering.

they didn't actually have the restrictor plate mandatory until the 80s after Bill Elliott and his record holding speed still not broken. then Dale Earnhardt became cup champion so many times because of the plates even though he despised them because they made everything equal, and even though speed was limited, they grouped more often and caused more accidents. it made everything more equal but whoever had the fastest car didn't matter anymore.

18 minutes of my life gone. NASCAR is WWE on wheels: it's just a spec series using 1950's technology, and hasn't been stock for 30 years. Australian V8 Supercars are far more advanced and relevant than these so-called cars. Cutting-edge technology? You're kidding, right? Come back when you've learned what Formula 1 is all about. Thumbs-down.

I remember when they used to have special templates for each manufacturer (in today's case, it would be Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota) in order to tell if a car passed or failed. amazing what technology has allowed to literally laser measure each micro-inch of the car to tell if teams are trying to gain an unfair advantage

F1: Lets reduce the power by limiting the engine size burning less fuel but keep the race interesting with hybrid and turbos. NASCAR: Let reduce the power by limiting the air intake at certain tracks. well those incomplete combustion would causing more smoke and pollution but people dig that

I miss the days when stock cars had character instead of all being identical boxes with painted on headlights. I should be able to tell the difference between a Mustang and a Camry. I don't even like stock car racing, but it has really fallen lately from what it once was

If the rules are so hell bent on keeping everything so equal, why isnt every driver just issued the exact same car from a common manufacturer? Thats not a Camry, and thats not a Mustang. so why even play like it is. Just issue each driver an identical car.

If they restrict the cars so much why even watch nascar? Would you rather watch a 550hp Toyota Camry race in a circle or watch some Australians with 1100+ hp corrolas do burnouts till the engine they spent 5 years making gets completely destroyed?

The racing is going to be super competitive by lowering horsepower and if you want a example watch a motoGP race and then go watch a moto3 race and that's what it will be like. I honestly think there should just be more classes in nascar.
