Reminds me of a video ChrisFix made a long time ago about how to diagnose a car that cranks but won t start. He went over the same steps, but the problem on his car was one you didn t cover in this video, timing! The timing belt had skipped several teeth and meant that the valves, fuel, and spark were all acting at the wrong times and unable to start the engine. That s why your timing belt/chain is so important!

Ill admit it, thanks to Money Pit and HI/Low I decided to get a car to work on (haven't done it in years. I got a 2012 Volvo C70 T5. Its a hard top cabriolet with a 5 cylinder turbo. Kinda like if the Chrysler Sebring and a BMW 430i had a quirky love child. Wish me luck! Love the new episodes! Stay inspired Boost Creeps!

fun fact, if you are dropping 12v across your pump, i. e. your test points being the two terminals at the fuel pump. you do not need to voltage drop the rest of the circuit. the only time that would be useful is if you are not dropping the proper voltage at the pump and want to find where the voltage is dropping.

Don't just leave your regulator return open, route it back to a catch can. If your pump is working, it WILL dump fuel, everywhere. That's how it regulates pressure - it bleeds excess back to the fuel tank. Especially without the engine running, there is nowhere for the fuel to go but out the return.

This was really informative information for someone of my knowledge level. I just found this to be such an amazing video and it doesn't hurt it's probably my favorite setup of any car ever. (S14 w/ RB25. This show is growing on me and becoming my new favorite! Thank you so much Donut!

There is 1 more thing an engine needs to start. Timing! If your timing is off or the sensor that tells the computer to advance or restard the timing then the engine is not gonna start.

Please put a cold air intake in the turbo don't leave it like this. Also you might be burning some oil. Hoping to see that dyno video soon
