This episode was awesome, as always. But Lynk & Co is not the performance brand of Geely. Actually, it is the Polestar roll (kinda, because they are now full electric.
Lynk & Co was developed to be between Geely (the pronunciation is Djeelee) and Volvo. Fancier than a regular brand, but not so much as a luxury brand. And they are different because they rent their cars mostly, just a few are sold.
Their first car was a C-segment SUV, the 01. And after this, they get nuts about their car names because it doesn't make sense anymore. It has plans to put Lynk & Co in Europe and some countries of South America.
We had Geely here in Brazil when the cars were not a huge crap, but still terrible. We had the subcompact GC2 and the compact sedan EC7. It was a huuuuuuuuge flop and nobody remembers that someday Geely ever existed here.

Appreciate the attempts with the pronunciations! Just FYI, Zhejiang is pronounced more towards Jeh-Giang ( Je like how you pronounce the first part of Jerk, and Hong-Qi is pronounced Hong Chi (literally means red flag. When China tried to romanise the spoken language in mid 21st century, it had nowhere but to borrow from their closest romanised neighbor, i. e. Russia. And boom, you have English phenetic translation of Chinese words that are supposed to be pronounced in Russian.

Is Geely not got some major brands you missed?
Geely owns and developed the company that created the new TX4 (London Black Taxi) thats all electric?
Plus through that development they've started a new company using the same chassis to develop one of the most developed generator based EV Vans

I had heard of it, their cars are pretty common in my country and are a good value overall, though they cannot quite compete in higher tiers, they are a strong presence for low end cars.
