I honestly really like this car and when I but my first its either gonna be this or a Wrangler. I have a Jeep Renegade now, but my parents got that one. I'm 18 and I personally like older looking cars. Some of the new tech is pretty useful and nice but, I hate push to starts especially in the renegade since theres no key backup. Even though this car is kinda nice as is, only change that would be nice is the lights. 50, 000 is a lot to pay for car that's lights are no good. That and the window controls

I have 60K of mods in my 4Runner TRD. I will be buried in my rig. Lol. Best truck I have ever owned and worth every penny. I take road trips just to drive it. Only in this generation do people see a rig like this and thinks fancy is what the buyers are looking for. We dont give a shit about fancy or apps to wipe our ass. If thats ur thing go get ur LEXUS soccer mom suv and stick to lighted paved roads. Lol. And yes those are the nostrils you will see crawling up and over your Prius. Hee hee

Doug keeps clamoring about the 50K price tag. He doesnt mention that you can get the TRD Off-Road package for a little over 40K, or even an SR5 for 36K. Both still great looking and excellent off-roaders. There are also lightly used deals out there. Its July 2019 and I just purchased a 2018 TRD Off-Road with 30K miles for 28K. Im ecstatic about my purchase and not at all concerned with the mileage, as we all know 4Runners are notorious for hitting 200K, 300K, 400K miles when well cared for.

The 4 runner has always been my dream SUV. I got one new in 2015 and I couldnt be happier. Took it off road a few times and it drove like magic. The best part about this vehicle is that it gets better as it ages. Based on the history of this vehicle, it may last me 25 years. A friend of mine is waiting for his 96 runner to die so he can get a new one but the truck refuses to die. It is an indestructible tank. While it is true other models may be more fun to drive, they wont last as long.

It WASN'T the carpets. The problem was a part in the throttle that would stick. It was a black kind of squared with some internal parts. The part was replaced under a recall. We had one. They showed us the problem part and why it didn't work. The part in question was made in America. Now the part is made in Japan. I asked Toyota if the carpet was also a problem area and they stated, NO.

I have a 2020 as of yesterday. I have a button to roll down the rear window on the back of my 4Runner that is activated by my keyless entry proximity thingy lol. Plus I have Android auto. It has Apple carplay too, but i'll never use that lol. The screen is 8 and a half inches too, i think. My best friend has a the 2018 Pro and after borrowing it a few times had to have my own

At one point you mention concern about security, like the model doesn't keep up with the modern standards. Now, isn't a body-on-frame more secure per se? What I mean is, if you get a big hit on the back, and I mean big, most unibodies will just crush and squeeze like an accordion, while body on frame will take that kind of hit much better, due to the steel frame.

The gas mileage is low but the vehicle will last forever. There are no other off road vehicles of this size and caliber. Of course jeep will say they are there however they will possibly get you offroad but it is really questionable if they will get you back on road. The pathfinder has gotten fat and weak looking. THis guy doug is annoying also.

I love all the old school stuff on this. After watching this viodeo and straight Pipes I became inteerested in this. Oddly enough my wife liked it too. We had a look at the Toyota dealer. A few months later we drove this exact vehicle home. Love it. Could use better lighting and android auto would be nice but I still love it,
