The Future of Chevy Camaros Ronald Picker: Price of my brand new 1974 Camaro ST 8 cylinder, auto, air, PB, PS, AM radio, undercoating, purchased in Chicago, new in 1974, not including sales tax: 4468. Car was NOT a chick magnet. People who loved it (besides me, being 24) were high school kids. Car totally rusted away by 1982. Same car today, equivalent model, new, with all the new toys that come standard, around 26, 500. a 6 fold increase in cost.

Nice car. Okay, its not a manual transmission. do they even offer it in a manual? Im too lazy to look it up. To all you guys that say its too many bells and whistles and going to be a pain to repair. I say, young people that will own this car in the future will rise up to the challenge and learn how to fix them. Okay, Im outta here, got some drum brakes and points distributor to fix

Its a Chev. It will fall apart sooner if abused. But it will fall apart. Ive never liked Camaros. The first one I ever saw was in three pieces. The kids father who bought him the new car was at the accident scene and didnt recognize his car or his body. My son had two of these rags and always trouble. Foot room for passengers is ridiculous. I dont like Camaros.

I have a 2SS manual. Gotta say the next one I get will be automatic. I LOVE manual, its a ton of fun but these days the automatics are faster, computers are just better at shifting gears than the user now. Still Ive killed Challenger RS(base V8) and unlike the Mustangs it can actually put the power to the ground.

He may not know but his insurance will not cover him if he gets into an accident while racing. Back in 1985 everyone was driving the because they were so inexpensive. 15k for one was like 350 a month. Todays Camaros are so expensive for young guys only men my age who having a mid life crisis buys one.

This guy is seriously trying to flex a stock ride. Lmao this is my daily driver, bro, u live in a condo. Quit trying to flex. U own a stock Camaro. Lucky for u, the car speaks for itself. Anyone could jump into that Camaro n floor the gas pedal and go racing in a straight line.

Race the track, not on the street. How about on a proper track? With real safety features like walls (not concrete pieces that can separate, runoff area (not a highway perpendicular to the race line, catch fences, medical personnel, and timing systems.

Every Camaro eventually winds up being owned by a dude with a mullet, and parked under a carport in a trailer park. I had one. blew it up and shaved the mullet. I would have probably kept both if I lived in a trailer. Maybe one day.

Hey there Scotty just wondering what you think about the Chevy SS that was made by Holden in Australia? I really like it but I definitely would like to hear what you think about them. Thank you for such great advice.

Took a bailout and bailed. Wont buy a Chevy. Also newer model Malibus require you to remove the damn bumper to change the headlight bulb. Seriously f that company. Also Cameros have absolutely horrible visibility.
