If You Buy a Car Right Now You re Really Stupid ScatPack: Worked in a Japanese factory for 5 years. They were very picky about quality. About 4 years in, they decided to save money and hired lots of non English speaking temporary workers. (Japanese do it too) They closed the plant. Too many parts getting put in the wrong thing. Too their credit, the temps worked their butts off while assembling the wrong parts.

Labor Unions have always been the fault in America, run by leftist hypocrites. They were alot better when the MOB ran them! Anyway, labor unions destroy labor productivity nowadays. Not the same as during the postwar period, but now that there is immense competition, labor unions stifle competition and innovation in the private sector. The exception is with high level white collar workers like doctors who have their own unions, but the market doesn't dictate their activities like unskilled labor.

my 2004 Avalanche had a rear seatbelt recall - the middle location had a leather loop to hold the belt in place. The recall was they cut the leather loop and sloppily sewed it up. Looked absolutely awful and I never used the center location anyway. Really pissed me off that they did that without asking me.

Hey Scotty, I'm a big fan of your videos. What are your thoughts on buying a brand-new 2021 Subaru Crosstrek with 6 speed manual? I know you're not the biggest fan of boxer engines, and I'm ok with the lack of power that it has. Do you think this is a car that will last me a decade?

SCOTTY! I need your advice urgently, I'm going to look at a 2000 Buick Lesabre. The guy said you can smell a bit of oil burning when you drive but other than that it drives fine. What do you think of this car, anything I should be looking out for? Thank you, Scotty.

As automated as these plants are nowadays, I'd be surprised if the product was any worse. I mean, the carmakers have dumbed down the process so much that the day of the skilled tradesman who takes pride in his work is only found in history books.

Well the current year models are mostly safe since a good chunk of them would have been made last year. But you can always avoid buying a car that's been produced in 2020 should be encoded into the VIN of most passenger vehicles.

I worked in the assembly line at Honda in japan until March than moved to the US.
I can say, don t worry! You can trust Honda and their workers!
And there are way less numbers of people getting the virus in over there too.

I'm looking to buy a truck and I've found a few 2019s with under 10k miles that were fleet vehicles, I havent bought one yet but I'm thinking the economy is going to bring a bunch of basically new vehicles to the used market soon

I can definitely tell you that in the video game industry, temp workers are some of the most disgruntled people in existence and they'll actively sabotage companies because they are treated like crap.
