When I was 3 yes, Three, I had already gotten the car bug. One of the first cars I recall was a 1956 Cadillac Fleetwood - I went over to it and hugged the tire - when I was in College in Oklahoma I bought a 12 year old 1960 Cadillac Fleetwood - I grew up in Houston, Tx and on break I would drive the Fleetwood from OKC to Houston - leaving midnight I would arrive in Houston 5: 00 AM. Try that with a Cadillac today - - the engine would melt like an ice cube in Tucson. The comfort space and elegance of my '60 far surpasses ANYTHING they make today! The bean counters destroyed GM and Cadillac.

My uncle has the same car except it's white(he bought it brand new) with direct fuel injection and when I asked him if he had problems with it, he said that he never had any problems with it which is nice to hear. What could be making his CTS not have problems? Is it that he's taking very good care of it that he never encountered 1 single problem, is he lucky that his CTS was actually built right? What do you guys think? Btw he commutes with it

2014 xts, rear suspension went out at 55k miles. Compressor went bad for the air ride, causing the bags to deflate on the magneride, ruining it. CPO warranty didnt cover the shocks, ended up costing me a good amount of money. Then, the rear shocks went out again, this time only 12k miles later, luckily covered by a parts warranty. Will never buy another one, or any GM product.

the problem with GM and other manufacturers they focus on pleasing wall street and financial engineering, they do not focus on quality long vision term and innovation, all companies that focus to please wall street eventually will not be able to compete with the Koreans and the Japanese who focus long term quality and innovation. /

I have that engine in my Pontiac G8. It's called the LY7 3. 6L V6. I'm going to replace my chain myself next month, it's a long process but I don't think it'll be too hard. My car has 1 or 2 feet between the radiator and front engine cover, my Milwaukee stubby impact should fit in there fine. You inspired me Scotty!

Now I'll grant you that Caddy's are an absolute pain to work on. But checking your oil should not be an optional thing whether you're talking cars or lawnmowers. They are great driving cars and are well built. If they have any design flaws it's because they like to push the envelope and try new ideas.

I spent 2 years and thousands, and thousands of dollars working on my 07 BMW 4. 8 X5. Sold it, lost more money, but bought a used Toyota FJ. I have spent zero on repairs in the 2 years that I have owned it. Just runs and runs. No problems. So yes, Lux cars such money out of your wallet.

GM screwed over America in general. I'm so pissed I could spit! My 2013 Tahoe blew the motor at 100, 000 miles. cam lifter failure. Apparently, this is a known problem with Chevy Vortec motors made between 2009 through 2013! GM refuses to help us out. lawsuit pending

I think the Germans have stolen the luxury segment right out from under us. What do we have? Cadillac with its junk electronics and reliability or Lincoln, with its boring, ho- hum lackluster models and engine line ups and oh so tired styling. We kinda got nothing.
