Test Driving a Jeep Wrangler and Ford Raptor CynicalDriver: I would not recommend the Wrangler. My neighbor had one that he bought brand new and ended up having so much trouble with oil leaks and other issues that he traded it in for a Chrysler 200. When you go from a Wrangler to a 200, you are making a BOLD statement about how bad the new Wranglers really are. Of course, I would avoid the Raptor as well, because those things are ABUSED Find one at the end of a model-year clearance event that hasn't been owned by some idiot yet. My brother got his Raptor (with virtually no miles on it) for just under 50k. Look around, you can do better. Even a brand new one, fully spec'd is 73k. You own a Lambo and an Audi TT. Why are you not looking at Grand Cherokee SRT8, a Land Rover, or even an ugly Porsche? At least with those you get the off-road adventure capability AND either speed (SRT8 and Porsche) or ultimate luxury badassery (Rover)

Do Not Get A Jeep Unless you are a mechanic, or have lots of disposable income, and have another reliable car that will get you where you want to go while the Jeep is getting fixed. Check out Consumer Reports and Jeep forums. Yes, they are very good looking and they have a certain cool factor. Yes, not all of them break down most of the time, however, I don't think you will be babying it much. Maybe go check out an off-road club in your area and see what they recommend. The last thing you want when you are 20 miles from nowhere is to be broke down. Ahhh. don't listen to me. I'm old, you're young. Go for it. Now that I think of it some of my best adventures happened after breaking down 20 miles from nowhere. Cheers.

Since you are near Moab, you've got to get the Wrangler. You can't take the doors or roof off the Raptor. Also if you get some dirt or snow inside, no biggie there are drain holes in the interior so you can just wash it out. You can customize it a bazillion different ways, plus they retain their value and are in high demand pretty much nationwide.

Get a Jeep man. Its not just a vehicle it turns into a brotherhood there are jeep clubs and jeep meets all the time, look for a local club. The wrangler is unbelievablebly offroad capable. My Mom and Dad both have them. They are even more capable lifted with big tires. And later on you can get a supercharger or even LS or HEMI swap it

The wranglers of today are not built like there off- road brothers of the past, no Dana axles, no power, and for the price the ride quality is horrible, this is why the pick up truck market in the US is up 15% from last year, same price but ride quality and power train, plus towing capability completes the whole package

Wrangler. Better videos with more light because can take doors and roofs off. Very cool video angles. GREAT RESALE VALIE, easily modded, open roof convertible feel with roof off or soft top in case it rains, as you said adventures. Wrangler all day. Raptors good if you needed powerful truck but you don't,

Did you already decide and traded your TT? Please don't buy a Jeep. They look pointless, no tow and that you stated you want. Don't get freaked out by that doors-out romantic idea. And I heard these Jeeps are very unsafe in accident and rollover situations. Look further or get that Ford.

Flowmaster American Thunder catback exhaust makes the jeep sound good. My mom has a 2014 white wrangler, she loves it. She put the exhaust on a couple months back and she said its the perfect exhaust for a jeep and daily driver. 600 for system and install.

Hey man, I noticed you went to the Tim Dahle in Murray. I work at the Southtowne location and we have a ton of Jeeps that people have traded in. If you would like to come down to this location I may be able to get you an employee discount.

If you were to get the raptor, it would be great for being able to attach your Lambo for trailing. How important is that to you? How much would you need to do that? Otherwise for cuteness and fun, definitely the wrangler. Yeah
