You had better used a tree saver and a D-ring when you tested that out. If not you may have seriously damaged the tree itself. You also should have a blanket or mat hanging from the cable while winching. In case the cable snaps the blanket will help get the cable to the ground rather than whipping back and severely injuring someone. Please watch some Jeep vids on proper technique.

Great to see the winch fitted James. One word of advice though dont use your bare hands to hold and slide the steel cable through when winching in or out. I noticed James did at the beginning. Get some proper winching gloves. After you have used it a few times and the cable runs against anything you can get sharp strands which dont mix too well with your hands. Great video as always.

Hey man I have the same barricade roof rack on my Jeep. A couple recommendations would be to definitely install some lights on the tabs in the front but also those trailer hitch baskets can be used as a roof basket if you take the hitch insert out. Im seeing an idiot who thinks he knows how to trail/offroad. Just because you have the vehicle doesnt mean you know how. The added crap doesnt help either. No cable weight, no tree saver, exoskelaton that doesnt do crap but add weight. tires too large for the lift thats installed. What an idiot.

Hey man you might want to connect your positive and negative in the fuse box in your engine bay to the terminals in there not the actual battery terminals or else if something shorts out you can burn down your whole Jeep instead of just blowing a fuse its the black box right in front of your battery

Please like this so stradman can see this Winching can be very dangerous. Id recommend watching a video on how to be safe with it. If something goes wrong that winch hook could fly off and really injure you or kill you. Id hate to see that happen

It a mall crawler he doesn't even have differential lockers but has tires bumpers and a bunch of other stuff. I am not trying to hate but that is not how you build a jeep most people here probably have never been off-road other than driving on grass

Jstraddy. Huge heads up for your safety and everyone elses. You need a weighted blanket to put on the line so if it were to snap it would fall to the ground and not slingshot and cut people in half. Also you need a tree hugger so you save the trees
