This is the last in the current series of video clips portraying the little train between Kalka and Shimla. In this clip, we return from Shimla to Kalka taking another look at the scenery and stations on the way. We also look around the diesel depot and Kalka station area

The trip back to Kalka was more leisurely than the ride to Shimla. We stopped at more stations to pass other trains, so had more time to get off and look around. The seats on our train were not the arm chair variety, but as some of our group had elected to return by car, there was more room to spread out. I have heard the seats on the Darjeeling railway are more comfortable. My wife loved India, so I have a good chance of getting to Darjeeling one day. I have appreciated your comments. Thanks

Hello Tim, I am in Chandigarth close to Kalka, but couldnt get toy train tickets, however the way back Shimla to Kalka has many tickets, I might try the train on the way back, you think is a good idea, or should I wait 3 days here until the Kalka to shimla is available? Thanks in advance

The train is shown at Barog Station, the tunnel is visible at 11. 10 and 11. 47 minutes into the tape, but you are right the tunnel is not featured as it should have been. Now I have watched the video again, I agree I should have featured the tunnel more.

Well, I've travelled Indian railways, New Zealand railways, Swiss, Scottish, Italian, German. Whew! And I haven't even left my bedroom! LOL Thanks for all your great videos, Tim!

Well Done Tim. I have done this journey myself. The train broke down and it took seven hours to get there. Wife said -Never Again- SO well done keep it up.

You have provided a great series. Many thanks. We had to drive down to be sure of catching two flights. Seeing this clip makes me regret that. Cheers

The longest tunnel on this route is at Barog. The train has not been shown passing through this tunnel. It should have been prominently shown.
