A tram with a -Wow- factor normally reserved for iconic sports cars is hard to imagine, but the Tatra T3 Coup- does just that. In a city where trams both modern and traditional are a common sight, the T3 Coup- stands out as people stop, to wave, take a photo or just watch it pass by. The T3 tram has been an integral part of the Prague cityscape for over half a century, Prague Public Transit Co in conjunction with the studio Anna Mare-ov- designers worked to create a sightseeing tram that celebrated the T3 in Prague, resulting in the creation of the T3 Coup-, combining the very best of sixties design with a contemporary, stylish all white interior. Prague's first horse drawn tram line was opened in 1875, and the first electric tram ran in 1891. Today-s network consists of 142. 4 km of track served by a sizable fleet of 968 trams. This video starts at N-m-st- Republiky with trip to S-dli-t- Barrandov over the extension opened in 2003 between Hlubo-epy-S-dli-t- Barrandov followed by a run through the city to Kr-lovka and finally on to Poho-elec close to Prague Castle

Riding the trams was the most enjoyable memory of my 2 weeks in the Czech Republic last year. Interesting to note, I heard more English in the background of this video than what I encountered in my stay. I hit the tourist areas around 0700 or 0800 and went further out after 0900, so most of the Czech people that I encountered had to endure my -dobry den, - -prosim, - -dekuji- and pointing, ending with an attempt at -Na shledanou. - I had a great time, but -prominte- to those who had to endure my attempts.

Been there thrice over the last 15 years - first as a student, next as a romantic stop over with my gf, (who is my wife now) and then again two years ago. One of the most beautiful, charming cities in Europe! Food and Pilsner are amazing, esp. the Bohemian cuisine and their Goulash! Palladium Mall is a great place to shop for.
Did I say it's quite affordable to most visitors (esp. if you're students, too?

Te kocie lby na ulicach sa przygnebiajace. Zle sie po tym chodzi. Chodniki natomiastsa za bardzo rozkoszne, we wzorkach, zupelnie bez smaku. Zima mozna sie poslizgnac i nogi polamac. Chodniki powinny byc z czewonej cegly, ulozone rowniotko i przyjaznie. Te wspolczesne chodniki nie pasuja do wystroju tych historycznych budynkow! Za duzo tramwajow, rujnuja tkanke strukturalna tych co badz pieknych budynkow.

A very nice Tram Tour of Prague. They have nice modern Trams now. Seeing this video
brought back a lot of memories since I saw a lot of places that I know especially the buildings that I used to live at Smichov and Arbesovo Namesti. I am a
New Yorker now, hope to visit Prague.

While spending sequestered time from the Coronavirus, I came across this video. What a wonderful way to spend my afternoon. Sounds like the passengers were having a great time. I visited Prague in 1976 and if I ever return, this will be number one on my list of things to do. Great job.

Lived in Prague for seven years as a TEFL teacher. This was a great nostalgic tour of areas that I knew on a regular basis. Although a commentary would have been perfect. Who would be a tram driver? Thank you Tim.

Great video! But what was the truck driver at 2: 55 thinking, having stopped in the middle of a junction in front of a tram? Later he was even driving back while the tram was about to pass him.

Which line number is this? I visited Prague about 8 years ago, T3 could be a clue though I wasn't sure if that was the model of the tram. Does seem to be following the route 3

From some other videos I've seen of trams from Prague, that one seems to ride rather more smoothly and quietly than the modern ones, particularly over the cobbles.

This is most wonderful ride I have ever experienced and the driver must be very experienced and alert since he must anticipate. sudden trespass on the roads.

You can hear repugnant American jokes in the background. Such forced attempts at pretending to be social with those fake laughs. Ughhhh

Thanks for post another beautiful video! Enjoy seeing sights I won't see in person! Keep up the great work! Again! Many thanks!

Very enjoyable. Have to add going back to Prague and having a ride on a Tram to my every growing travel list of things to do.

Thanks for the tour - lovely scenery adds much to the video.
We need good municipal transport like that in every USA city.

Great video! I like that the Tatra T3 trams have wheels covered with a cover. And the trams themselves look great.

How did I not see this video when it came out! Fantastic job as always Tim! Loved every second of this video!

What did the driver do to the tracks right in the beginning around 1: 45? Swap the way that they would go?
reply

This city was built for the trams, cars are an after thought. It seems to be working. I enjoyed the video.

This must be one of the most efficient networks in the world. Very impressive. I like the neat overhead!
