Our train arrived at the now disused Waidhofen an der Thaya station to be greeted by photographers and locals all keen to savor the rare sight of a train on the remnants of the former international railway between Schwarzenau in Lower Austria to Slavonice in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. In front of an admiring public, Locomotive No. 92. 2271 ran up the now weed covered tracks to access the passing loop allowing it to run round its train ready for the trip back to Schwarzenau. The train made a false departure to give passengers an opportunity to see and capture the moment from the line-side before climbing aboard for what was likely to be the last departure for a long time. Please join me as the sun begins setting on this most enjoyable day thanks to the wonderful people at the Zwettl Museum Railway Club. For more information about the Zwettl Museum Railway Club

I don-t understand the false start. I actually dont get what they are doing! I mean it-s nice. but. I could probably do this on my Harley on the railroad track here in America, and have the same kinda view! I just don-t get it? Probably could even hook up some Lynyrd Skynyrd train train coming just get me all out of this town. On my 6 x 9 speakers. And have the same affect. Just asking! explain to me what the Hells bells is going on here. I mean really let-s go. Not back-and-forth OK? Show me some country.

To be honest, Tim, all this back-and-forth, to-ing-and-fro-ing for photographers is getting on my wick! The train hasn't travelled any distance at all! Sorry, Tim but there's ample opportunity for stills photographers to snap off quick shots of a steam loco and vintage carriages like this as it arrives or departs a station. In your shoes, I think I'd have discarded some of this stuff, and/or kept some of it for PiP(Picture-in-Picture) overlays.

Sorry, Tim. Had to give this one a dislike because of all the unnecessary back-and-forwarding that's driving me batty. It's not your videography I'm dissing, you do a great job in that regard. It's this constant forward-then-backward crap with the train not getting anywhere that's giving me the shits! All it does is waste valuable capacity on your camera's SD card.

Thanks, Tim for a thoroughly enjoyable return trip. Still reckon some of the lines looked dull, hehe. Might have been the angle of the sun? Was some sort of testing going on with all the back and forth? I know Austria is part of Europe but does it have some sort of a local self-governing rule?

Wonderful ride Tim - hope there was cold refreshments on it as the weather was nice to sip on a beer and watch the sceneries go by. Cheers and stay safe.

30: 50 Sorry Tim, but I'm out. All this to-and-from garbage for selfish stills photographers has ruined this video for me.
