welcome to this trip report bound back to Toulon home of Ricard and Cicada: . - TRIP INFORMATION - Railway company: OUIGO Train type: TGV HD Registration: N°771 From: Paris Gare de Lyon N° of train: 7853 Duration: 4h45

Ouigo is just another corrupt company part of the WEF. No cash accepted on board. This is to force us all into the controlled enslavement system where cash is no longer available and they can then all of the current corrupt governments can control as with the touch of a button to say when and where we can travel and cannot travel, along with how much food we can purchase per month such a a nice steak that you would want maybe twice a month, oh but your rationed to only 1 per month. Same thing for travel the whole climate change / global warming scam and due to this brainwashing system, they will only allow people to travel maybe once a year. twice if you are very lucky.

I could put up with the low-cost feel, but the deal breaker is the closing of the platform 30 minutes before departure. You would often be better off on a lower speed train that you could get on 5 minutes before it left, rather than blowing 30 minutes of your time staying still
As for -you shouldn't cut it so fine- - you will face the same choice as to how early you arrive to get through the boarding gates, only to be forced to wait for 30 minutes doing nothing

I've noticed that you seem to give a lot of leeway to sncf that you don't to other carriers but in general the trains in France are really good so good to be proud - that being said, that train looks horrible. It was dirty, too crowded, lack of power/usb and had a horrid airline style boarding process. On the upside, it is a 300kph less expensive option and the fact it was so incredible busy means its serving a purpose.
reply

I never understood why SNCF makes it so damn complicated to get on a train - usually you go to the station look at the track and get it - in France you have to wait for the track to be announced 20 mins before departure, go trough boarding gates and you can-t board the train a few minutes before the actual departure. this kinda Looses the advantage that trains have over planes
reply

-People only want low prices-
Oh boy that is wrong on so many levels I don-t even know where to start. The fact there are three travel classes on both Thalys and Eurostar but also on many other train products around the globe prove that by far not everyone is only interested in saving a few quid.

reply

I took the TGV Paris to Barcelona on 19 october.
No water to wash my hands in toilets
Toilets tiny, miserable.
SNCF: you charged me 195 euros for a miserable service.
No higiene. You should be closed down.
Disgusting!

I am very much for this 3+1 seating arrangement, provided that it is limited to a small number of cars. Thus, people travelling alone and groups of three people get a little privacy without need to pay for expensive 1st class tickets.
reply

You need to slow down; subtitles are on for too short a time - not enough time to read them. Also, you need to work on your English: one -train, - but more than one is -trains-. But -train travel- is not -trains travel. -
reply

REALLY helpful to point out that lower deck carriage one is uniquely a 1-3 configuration. I-ve just changed my seat for free - no charge for changes with the OUIGO PLUS fare - to a solo from another carriage.
reply

Fantastic filming.
Love the livery, but not the new onboard jingle.
Prefer the original jingle, the one still played in the stations.
I will definitely be following more of your Trip Reports.

NO GO OUIGO! Missing bar car is no fun and 3+1 seating sucks big time. I'll pay more for comfort and amenities I require on intercity train. Thanks for showing me what I don't want. Good video BTW.
reply

Well, since the price for ouigo between Paris and Lyon is just 10-, and the TGV price is 75-, why doesn-t everyone just use ouigo? Is the difference of 65- worth the extra comfort of the TGV?
reply

Maybe i missed it in the video - but was there any food cart option brought around? Might be taking the CDG to Marseille St Charles trip soon and wondering about buying any snacks/water. Thanks!
reply

Why is there a boarding process and stuff to get on a French train? We don-t have that in the uk and I have traveled round Europe and other then Eurostar I-ve never seen anything like that
reply

Honestly seems pretty good value. If you're on a budget, gets you there quickly in a reasonable degree of comfort. Not as nice as TGV/Inoui but a llot cheaper.
reply

Looks about as packed as your average UK train (not bound for London, but at least its cheap lol -
The boarding stuff looks like a pain though.

reply

6: 26 I nearly call it -French Shinkansen-
-That freaking unbalance seat configuration makes me realise the normal seats of Japan-s Shinkansen.

reply

Cool video as always, disappointing because they don't put international announcements only in French, English would be good but it's ok overall
reply

So it-s like a budget airline on rails? Older trains. Basic service. Early boarding requirements.
Well put together video. Thanks.

reply

I like your trip reweiv very intersesting for a train fans like me but you could avoid the toilettes time you dont need to see that
reply

Actually, I live in France but I never took Ouigo trains
I took InOui and Classic Rapid Trains but Ouigos are rare at West

reply

I fear this is the future of passenger rail: an airplane on the ground. I-d rather ride a real train, thank you.
reply

In 2020 I wouldn't be able to have a train trip without any power outlet, especially when that trip is long. :(
reply

Man, that's one crowded train. Kinda takes the joy out of travelling via train, but I guess you get what you pay for.
reply

You are saying shit man, they never close the boarding 30 minutes before, its always like 10 minutes before depart
reply

The boarding brings in one of the things I hate with airports, and take away one of the things i love with trains
reply

It shouldn-t surprise but I was surprised how full the French trains are particularly the high speed trains.
reply

Why can't SNCF just cut prices on regular TGV trains that offer decent service and outlets at every seat?
reply

SNCF needs some competitors, you'll see how much prices will decrease (and they'll even offer power outlets lol)
reply

Excellent product at that price. How do I know my carriage has power outlet facility while booking?
reply

Nice even tho the train was packed travelling for that distance at 186mph/300kmh good value for money
reply

1: 17 i know that is pronounced as niece or neese, but that Nice -On Time- fit like a glove. -
reply

Such a shame there's no power for most seats and no drinks or snacks. That's what puts me off.
reply

You have no Pullman seats but the price is good. Ouigo is a very good french idea.
reply

That's how you get people to use the Train instead of the Plane. Very good idea of the SNCF
