WOW DUDE! I love the video I've been to the Grand Canyon and Williams I rode the Grand Canyon Railway up to the Grand Canyon and back and the view was very pretty! The engines were 237 & 239 and 237 was leading with a humungous blast of K5LA! GO 237! If you want to see aanother video of engine 237 then watch my video called -Grand Canyon Railway departs Williams, AR- Check it out ok see ya and stay tuned for more vids of mine!

I'm one of many who have been to the Grand Canyon but I came from Las Vegas by air. Imagine my surprise when I found railroad tracks at that depot building. And then, at about dusk, the American version of the Orient Express pulled in! I don't think that runs any more - guess I must be getting old! They served some very good restorative liquids in that depot!

-staintedcards Well, I don't know why they would be owned by BNSF. they don't run any freight anymore from what I know. The crossing boxes are all marked as -Grand Canyon Railway-. It is possible they contract some of the maintenance out to BNSF.

I don't know if I'm going to be bringing the show back. But, I have posted a number of narrated videos that are similar to this. If you liked this one, look for one that I posted last year called -Rio Grande Scenic Steam Special-.

Great video, but I still hate xentra parks and resorts for ending the steam program on the line. Sure 4 miles trips out and back, 5 times a year are ok, but give us what really want. PLEASE!

Zantara ruined the Grand Canyon Railway. Do they even run the FPAs any more? And they almost never run steam. Turned it from a place of history to a place that wants your wallet.

-AODProds I believe they do from time to time but not that often. Now that 237 is done being rebuilt, the F40's are usually the power for the trains. Occasionally an FPB.

-thomasrosiefan1 4960. I haven't heard that 29 is running currently. The other mike is still hanging around the shops. hear they want to sell it though

Fantastic video. Do they still run those Alco FPA-4's over there? I remember back in 2008 I was able to film one departing out of Williams in 2008.

Nice video. They are even making the F40's fuel efficient! Which is kind of saying regular steam won't be running anytime soon, which is a shame.
