Well, we are entering the wind down phase of 2012. It's been a while since I have posted anything from my favorite commuter railroad - Coaster - so, I thought I would pick out some of my videos of Coaster from this year to share with all of you. So, here are a few shots I have captured of Coaster in 2012. . Shot 1: Leaving downtown (late 2011 but I wanted to include it anyway) F40PHM-2C 2102 Shot 2: southbound at Grape - soon to be quiet zone cab car 2303 leading the charge Shot 3: southbound at Cardiff Bluffs 2303 and F59PHI 3002 Shot 4: Southbound coaster with cabcar 2307 at Del Mar surf station (now wayside horn) Shot 5: Northbound Coaster with F40 2104 in lead - note the advertisement wrapped coach, now a common site on coaster as of early 2012 Shot 6: Southbound Coaster passes the Del Mar Fair at night with the lights from the ferris wheel lighting the sky Shot 7: Northbound with F40PH-2C 2101 arrives Carlsbad Village Station Shot 8: southbound on the del mar bluffs (cabcar 2306, F40 2103) Shot 9: northbound with F40PH 2105 and cabcar 2305 Shots 10 and 11 - same set as shot 9 at Beech street in San Diego - soon to be quiet zone (August 2012)

Thanks so much for posting. This is probably my favourite video of the line from LA to San Diego. Brings back happy memories. Loved the opening sequence and shot 6, but the whole thing is a WOW.

I hate quiet zones, while the -common- people are happy, its not that same as having a blaring K5LA. I really like the shot with the ferris wheel in the background
