All aboard the Sprinter! March 9th, 2018 marks the 10th anniversary of Sprinter train service between Oceanside and Escondido, California. To celebrate, let's take another look at the Sprinter at a few new locations along the line and revisit some old ones from my previous video on the Sprinter

I was living up in the desert outside of San Diego in 2008 without a car for a few months. The Sprinter was my life-saver when I needed to get to L. A. - one particular round-trip was Sprinter, Coaster, bus from L. A. Union Station to LAX, Lufthansa Airbus A340-600 non-stop to Munich, Germany, Airbus A300 to Frankfurt, Boeing 747-400 back to LAX, bus, Coaster, Sprinter, buddy's car back to the desert.

Wonderful video and nice editing as always! I remember that one time, my family and I drove down to Oceanside and took the Sprinter Train. I had a great ride, and seeing this reminded me of going there. It's very interesting to watch the train from a different perspective. Thanks for posting!

Speaking of Escondido sprinter trains, you didn-t forget my request of the train talk episode about the Escondido local train? I-m not trying to rush you I-m just wondering if you didn-t forget

I always thought the Sprinter was a cool little service. Love the little horns they have. As far as I know, it's one of only two DMU services here in California. Very cool indeed!

These German-built railcars look good in America! I'm kinda surprised they kept their origianl sing-chime horns from Germany! (Although they do sound nice)

Great scenes Mike. Unfortunately, this two-car trainset is costing San Diego taxpayers since the ridership cannot possibly cover its cost!

Wish Washington State had something like that, at least if you go down to Portland they got the same type of train as sprinter. Great video too.

Would you classify that as a -choo-choo- or more of a -beep-beep-? Is there a staunch rule on the matter or do all trains technically -choo-?

Cool train, and in some spots the right of way is wide enough for dual tracks. Not used to that horn, though - sounds like a Fiat!
