When I hit the 2 year mark of being vegetarian I decided to go vegan. Been vegan now for a little over a year. Last week I decided to try the raw thing. By the 5th day, in the evening, out of nowhere, I started feeling shaky, broke a sweat, body got hot, felt like I was gonna pass out, knees got weak and my brain was in a fog. It took everything I had in me (lol) to drive to the corner store and get my malnourished-ass out. I chugged a Gatorade and ate a Cliff bar in the store. I immediately felt better. And yes I do take B12. supplements. I think I'll just eat raw every other day instead of every single day. Idk if I did something wrong. That's just not for me. I had ZERO problems when I went vegetarian and vegan

this doesn't have anything to do with the topic of your video but i have been watching your videos for a while now and have been dealing with trying to be healthy pretty much since i was born. I am also in college with not a lot of funds for purchasing the raw vegan food I would prefer to eat. So I have two questions. First: How would you approach a situation of being in college and trying to keep the raw vegan lifestyle? Second: how has raw veganism affected you on the womanly side of things? Thank you. Love your videos!

Although it wasn't emphasized, she is talking about not being afraid to add starches such as potatoes, rice and pasta. It is not only not going to hurt you but is great for you and for weight loss and health as long as you drop the animal products and oil/fats. Dr. John McDougall uses the same way of eating (put his name in You Tube search)

Cooking food played a huge role in human evolution. It's part of the reason we've evolved to be so intelligent. And so many fully raw vegans are borderline orthorexic. There really is no reason to avoid cooked vegan foods. Just go for it.

Some fat is essential to a healthy diet though. A small portion of nuts and nut butters should be just fine. Also veg oils, like roasted potatoes and stir fry veggies every once in awhile.

Your body responds better to raw food, less energy is used to digest, you're going to get less gas/bloating/sluggish feeling, and your body responds to cooked food as if its an intruder.

I just binge ate a ton of cooked food. I am soooo full, I can't move. Now and then I do this and feel bad, sometimes I overeat and still eat sweetfruit like dates after it.
