Day 19: RAW TILL 4 DIET VS FULLYRAW DIET Pierette: Dear Freelee, thank you so much for your solid information and good sense in this very confusing subject, A NATURAL DIET! I've been on the same self destructive path as you, I became vegan back in the 70's and found it very hard then, got quite ill as there wasn't so much information about nutrition. I've always eaten lots of veg and fruit but also got into nuts. soya and some times fish, had terrible digestion and elimination and weight swings(using so called heath foods from heath stores such as vegan cheeses that are full of fat, a no no. I've read and surfed (now that my son has built me a computer) following advice fron Gabriel Cousens and Robert Morse, But then went my own way with fruit such as berry's, apple, melon, ect and found I was doing the right thing as I felt so much better but not quite right, I lacked energy and oomph. I looked up what I was doing wrong and you and Harley's video's came up. I wasn't eating enough and too much fat. Wow what a difference! Thank you Freelee and Harley, Don't listen to the negative voices out there and keep on being yourselves, kindest regards.

What is your degree in? I don't know crap, but I'm a chemist, and raw food (certified) dietician for cancer, obese, and high risk individuals who need immediate help. ( I do that on the side )
You are misinforming people.
I guess, people will believe anything. you need to do some serious research on body chemistry, genetics, body acidity, and Neuroscience. psychology, and product research w back up.
Do U know how many people I run into thinking there coconut organic, coldpressed, non refined oil is? Only to find out the source is garbage.
Or the plastic everyone drinks out of. Levels if BPH are so high in most people. 90% of America is iodine deficient, which effects the pineal, and thyroid gland. They become calcified. 90% of the population is, magnesium deficient, and it goes on and on.
In top of it not all products are created equal.
I just seriously hope no one in here develops health issues, or other host's if problems.

I'm a guy and totally agree with Freelee. Troll dudes need to lay off the uneducated statements as they are boring. Go watch Mac Danzig who's been a raw vegan since 2004.
100% raw fruits, vegetables, and nuts is the way to go. While I'm new to fully raw there's no doubt that I'm healthier and feel even more energetic than I did with the 60-70% raw vegan lifestyle I was on. I was actually very surprised at this and wish I had switched sooner (but isn't that what we always say when we find the best thing. The plan now is to have as many 100% days as possible with just a little cooked food as a treat or when I have to. I say mix your fruits and vegetables up with as huge a variety as you can, and make smoothies. I'm totally satiated and I don't miss any of my favorite bad foods whatsoever.
Thanks Freelee for all the advice as it's really helped.

I love these videos that make it sound easier lol. Please do a video on what motivates you to exercise? ALSO, I just put in that I was a vegetarian for 4 years until I went vegan, and I think vegetarian is a lot easier for most people, to help other trying to get on this lifestyle, maybe make a video explaining on how to ease into the lifestyle? Like go vegetarian for a while first and then try vegan till 4? (idk) and then ease into just vegan, and then talk about how wonderful vegan-ism is? Idk

I said I've heard it somewhere. It was not my statement. I have heard that most carbs and basically all the calories we eat are turned to glucose (easier or more difficult, depending on the source, which produce energy, which is why the adult body would not need sugar, not even fructose. I don't drink coffee (only on very rare occasions, when I travel and have to wake up in the middle of the night and run to the train) neither is my diet based solely on fruit, yet I feel fantastic.

listen to what you just said, the adult body doesn't really need sugar think about where the average adult gets their energy, in modern day, the average adult is overweight and gets their energy from CAFFEINE, a drug rather than a macro nutrient which is an ACTUAL physiological need rather than an addictive drug, gotta get your energy from somewhere, might as well be from the best food on the planet, take care =]

Hi, Freelea,
I am a music professor and professional drummer. I've been admiring your work with Durian rider for quite some time. Love your sense of humor and actual proof of healthy results. :-) Starting tomorrow, I will be going on a 10 day fruitarian fast. In otherwords nothing but fruit and water. Your words and actions have inspired me. So here goes! :-)
. thanks to you both for hilarious inspiration.

That's cool that you're pushing fruit. I was calling myself a fruitarian back in the 90's when everybody was into veggies. Truth is I don't care for vegetables. I'm looking for feedback on what you do to get your essential vitamins and minerals such as calcium and iron. Do you use supplements? Can you talk about that in one of your videos if you haven't already? Otherwise you can go fruit yourself! lol

Hi Freelee, would this affect blood sugar differently than just going ALL Raw? Before I started 100% raw (been three weeks only, low fat, I had horrible blood sugar bounces. I have fear about going partially cooked, but I DO want hot food part of the time. I miss that. Rice, Potato, etc. I just need to know if that would cause blood sugar spikes. Please respond. Thanks

hi freelee! :) I was wondering how you feel about cacao powder, and if you eat it? I bought it for the first time and I love it but I'm wondering if there's any advantages/disadvantages of it or if it's mainly used in the vegan community for added flavor. love your videos! x
