5 Reasons to STOP eating FISH [warning graphic] Larry: You go banana girl! Thank you. Many people have the misconception that the traditional Japanese diet included eating fish with every meal. Most Japanese people who are now living late into their 90's and beyond primarily consumed rice and consumed small amounts of fish. The Buddhist movement promoted the inclusion of many colors of vegetables and the total exclusion of meats and dairy which also contributed to fish consumption. While it is true that certain individuals have lived long lives eating higher levels of fish and seafood, the vast majority of long lived people consumed mostly a plant based diet over the majority of their lives.

it all depends which kind of fish, salmon is one of the healthiest for example, it provides important amounts of the antioxidant amino acid taurine. Salmon is an excellent source of vitamin B12, vitamin D and selenium. It is a good source of niacin, omega-3 fatty acids. While you shouldn't eat tuna every day because of its mercury content, you can still safely enjoy canned tuna as a regular part of your healthy eating plan.

the lesson to be taken from this is not that fish is bad in general, it's to be very aware where your fish comes from and what companies handle them. I have absolute confidence that alot of imported fish is a risk factor for health. Stop fighting about vegan or not vegan, what matters is if your food is clean or if it's pumped full of chemicals.

Ive been vegan over a year and the one thing I cant get over is fish. I dont miss meat or dairy but there are no good fish substitutes! I watched this to make myself want fish less because I always want fish. Ive never broke vegan and ate it but ugh. This definitely helped me not want to eat it.

Once i got myself a really big allergy because of a spoilt salmon I ate at the shooping back before when I wasn't a vegetarian (and i pretty much have zero allergies) One side of my face was completely red, it looked like a burn injury: / it lasted almost a whole week to go away

But japanese people eat alot of fish (not so much of other animal products) And they live the longest lives on the planet! I'm from lofoten, norway and norwegian people also eat alot of fish. Norwegian people also lives on avarge really long! This doesn't make sense to me.

Many also use GMO soy to the salmon for coloring. So people with soy allergies are eating soy without knowing it since it's not put on the allergy warning labels since it's not an ingredient.
