I truly look at the both of you with great admiration not only for what you have built together living off grid, but as a couple working together. Now from my experience going through 2 marriages. We had our days when it wasn't as beautiful as you guys always portray on your video's. High fives and all the work it takes to live off grid, cause it' hard work but very satisfying and your wife Nicole is absolutely made from a mode that is not found today with women, since all the feminist movements and the old school way I was taught to win a woman. Now I see that mostly everything is a lie. 2020 and here we are with race riots and the murders of black men women and our children. I've always been a peaceful loving person way before people started to wake up to truth about living life abundantly and peacefully with anyone and everyone provided that they weren't complete asshats, racist human beings. Jake you seem to be so chill and down to earth, fun and open sharing just what a man can do, and how he can live with a beautiful woman who by everything I've seen loves him authentically. More than 3/4s of the entire population on the planet will never have what you two have. It's beautiful to see and Nicole is an absolute Goddess in every sense of it's definition. It is my dream to live off grid in my built container home. I just don't want to do it alone without a woman who works as hard as I do to make everything work out. You guys have forged together a lifestyle of living that is very special and wonderful to see. I really wish I had what you two have. I wish you both every happiness and even after your adventure of sharing with us is done. I hope that you both continue to be the beautiful beacons of light and love you share with the world. Namaste

I'm sorry you're so sad missing family & friends, Nicole.
I don't like to see you cry, but you are human & do show your feelings as expected from time to time.
I love how honest & real you & Jake are.
It's very hard work to live off grid but you guys make it work for each other.
I learn a lot from you about food & the environment & appreciate what you are sacrificing.
If I were young again & had the drive, not sure so could do it.
I am close with my family as you are, but I'm also an identical twin & have never really been separated from my sister unless I was on vacation.
I spent a summer in SoCal & missed my first birthday away from my sister that I will never get back. I missed my family too much & never spent time away like that again.
People may say I missed/am missing out on a lot, but I can't stay away from my family.
I give you lots of credit & I'm thankful that I can watch you guys on your journey, learn, & incorporate what you share about herbs, teas, & home jarring foods. It's wonderful, so thank you both for that.
Be well & stay safe. -

In 2014 after the passing of my father, I wanted to buy a house and fix it up. I found one that needed a lot done to it. and moved all my stuff in it. With no running water, electric or sewer connected. I lived there for two summers. winters is spent at my brother. However, The depression and Loneliness set in and found my self so depressed i didn't want to do anything. I started a new life in a new town where i didn't know one person. I could if I had to, but would rather not because i need that connection between human beings.

My wife and daughter and I are about to go off grid again but this time is permanent
We did it before for 10 years not by choice, this time is by choice we-ve had enough of the bull s. in lower 48
We love the outdoors and snow, cold don-t bother us
So selling the house and everything we can
People are out take whatever they can from you but an-t going to take from me anymore

Life is not only about mainly living with nature. God gave us family and friends and the concept of love for another. You have finally realized that life is about sharing which is why you find yourself resorting to this media. Your demise will be no one will grieve for you when you pass away except each other.
