Jake and Nicole also begin building their outdoor cooking area of the yurt. Our first cooking feature is building a traditional wood fired Chinese Wok Stove david: in my country (england) thez not much wild foods tbh, raspberrys, blackberrys, gooseberrys, they are the common ones & easiest to find, their are others like chestnuts but not so easy to find, i dont think we have any edible mushrooms or toadstools except liberty cap (magic mushrooms) which obviously will make you high.

Just a tip take it for what it's worth I've had two incidents in the last 30 years that that sent us to the nearest remote emergency room one was a bar fight broken bottles and a cut knee requiring about eight stitches the other my wife tried to take her head off with a 2-by-10 needless to say a guillotine won't work very well with an unsharpened 2 by 10 but it will split open soft tissue and skin attached to your head and Chin and she did the ladder requiring about 8 stitches but my supergluing and us of my homemade butterflies did a better job then the emergency room surgeon was going to do with stitches asked us why we came in and told us the only reasons we should be there is if we have any questions of how well we cleaned out the wound prior to sealing it up now I'm pissed cuz I've driven 70 miles waited 3 hours to be told I did a great job and I waste my time by coming to the f------ Hospital. Second incident my medic skills were definitely confirmed when this same emergency room doctor wouldn't even admit our second patient/guest that was visiting for the weekend decided to go Moonlighting as a bar room brawler that evening at our remote watering hole. So last part of this tip you'd be surprised how little vodka it takes to be able to sew-in eight stitches on somebody without any local anesthesia depending on the wound cleaning should be way more painful than stitching it up. Just remember one thing what's most important is cleaning out that wound and putting in some antibiotic cream if available you'll be surprised how fast wounds heal when cleaned and you put antibiotic cream on them and try to minimize mobilization to allow for healing. my two cents for what it's worth keep doing what you're doing love your stories

LOL- off grid living, lol. These people do not want to work so they pretend to live off grid. Ask you for money so they can continue not working. Plus U-tube pays them. Keep supporting them, send them money. Believe the lie that they live here. With the money they are getting they no doubt have a couple of homes.

Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. Strawberries grow in the banks of a lot of our rivers. We have milkweed, and the flower buds are like broccoli. Prickly pears. Bergamot. Dandelions. Yarrow. SO MANY THINGS! There are also fish in the rivers, deer and elk in the woods, and fowl to be had.

Actually I was watching Jake work like mad, and was thinking woo man slow down a little before you do your back in, or have an accident, and someone is off to hospital. Ouch,
Also get a little mobile electric fence unit you can put up for bears when you are away.

I feel so sorry for Nicole. I hate pain or seeing it in others. I hope her holistic ways do not prohibit pain medication (western style medicine: were would we be if surgeons could not provide medication for emergency surgeries)

Everbody knows that one puts raw vegetables into COLD water, COLD tomato sauce. COLD what-evah. And then you heat it up. If you drop vegetables in to HOT liquids, they BLANCH, and don't give up their flavor.
