I am from the U. K. from the outside looking at the news on 9/11 and watching reports about it in the days, weeks, months, and even years that followed - it felt like it happened in an alternative timeline. It didnt feel real, I was too young and too far removed to really FEEL it. Thats not to say I wasnt shocked, but the deeper emotions of the horrible day - I only felt that when I went to the memorial two years ago.
I was moved beyond words, beyond what I thought I would be.
What surprised me is the immense about of respect all the visitors had, I heard no talking. I heard the water, and it does make you reflect deeply. You cannot hold off of the feeling of introspection here.
If you are going to go to New York. Please go here. Pay your respects. Think about the fragility of human life.
Rest in peace to all who lost their lives. To all who lost loved ones, I wish you strength, endurance, and peace.

This was a terrible day. I wasnt born until 2002, however, this event still haunts me. I cant think why someone would consider doing such a thing. Fun fact, my moms friend was in New York City that week, and her friend had planned to take a tour of the World Trade Centre on 9/11/01. Her friend didnt wake up in time because from what I heard they were up late the night before, possibly out exploring the city. Thank god they didnt wake up in time, because I believe they would have been there when all this happened, and they might not have made it out alive. I was never told about the rest of the tour, so its very possible the tour guide and the guests were there when this all unfolded. I can only hope they escaped. My mom found out when her friend got back about how she narrowly avoided being there during the attacks. Ill never forget this day, I think about the victims every day.

RIP Kevin Cosgrove, it is literally the hardest thing to listen his recording, especially when you are from Long Island and you knew his kids, these were are people. Long Island is a big place but it feels small, our town lost so many people in those towers I will never forget the cloud of darkness that lingered over and all the friends we knew. One of my best friends dad was supposed to be in Windows on the World for a tech conference but couldnt go due to the flu.

Also in the Pentagon I saw a drawing from a child that was hung in there in a hall leading to the crash site in the Pentagon. It said Pearl Harbor, the Pentagon, Twin Towers, Shanksville Pennsylvania. Declarations of War. I broke down instantly reading each of those hundreds of drawings. Kinda traumatizing

I remember going to visit on 11th april 2018 with my partner and it was so emotional and chilling. I never expected to cry the way I did until I arrived there. It was so incredibly sad. Rest In Peace to all the lives lost in this tragedy. Never forget

like bruh it's a memorial to dedicate the fallen. and these ppl taking selfies and smiling etc. Dude the more elderly and other ppl who have serious faces know what happened. It's kinda awkward just to see people smiling at the site of the dead.

One thing I remember doing when this day unfolded was. Cry my eyes out. Especially for the FDNY. Took one of my teachers about an hour to calm me down after we got back to school from our vigil to a nearby firehouse.

That bald guy messing around with his girlfriend was a bit off for me. No wonder the other woman looked put out then when she was crying what did they do? Just stood there gawping at her. So disrespectful.

Also the black elderly man that is with his grandson I guess. You can tell he's staring up seeing those towers in his eyes like they were still there. You could see it in half the people's faces.
