What Its Like to Grow Up in an Israeli Settlement Op-Docs

This week we bring you Iris Zakis thought-provoking short film Natural Born Settlers. A self-described liberal from cosmopolitan Tel Aviv, Zaki wanted to get behind the politics of Israels controversial settlements in the occupied territories so she moved there, temporarily, setting up an improvised cafe where she could chat with settlers from her own generation. Zakis previous Op-Doc was The Shampoo Summit, for which she took a job at a Christian Arab-owned hair salon, using a similarly playful, open-minded approach to transcend rhetoric and ideology and spark serious conversations with her fellow Israelis.

I just want to give a little background about Michal Froman (the mom who was stabbed while pregnant) and the Froman family in general:
Michal Froman is married to Shibi Froman, son of Rabbi Menachem Froman - Rabbi Menachem Froman was the rabbi of the settlement of Tekoa, who devoted his life to peace making and peace pursuit between the Arab and Jewish population, he took many activist actions and met with Muslim religious leaders. He was a controversial leader who was criticized and even threatened death.
Shibi Froman, which I attended in one of his conferences in the past, continues his father's ways and ideas, along with his wife Michal, who was stabbed in the attack.

I love how at 8: 30 the host complains about her interviewee and Israel being fascist and the very next moment she says their lack of political correctness shocked me. If you don't get the irony there, then you don't understand fascism and tolerate it when it's your side committing it. Wake up. Nothing worse and more dangerous than when people pretend to morally superior while exhibiting the same traits they're supposedly against.

saying that palestinian territories are occupied by israel is just not the facts: 2 million live under Hamas rule, Gaza is the facto an independent state. West bank: most palestinian live under plaestinian authority, de facto a second state. Very few palestinian ( a few hundred of thousands out of 2. 5 million) live under occupation. Your facts are wrong and are a big lie. your journalism sucks

Give decent, intelligent people a big break - the illegal settlements are segregated, Jews-only and state-built. Israel is a racist, apartheid colony. The only moral thing to do is to destroy and dismantle the racist Jewish colony and restore all of Palestine to the native Christian and Muslim Palestinian people.

I get it that Israeli's should stop infiltrating the West bank it's illegal anyway. But trying to go full liberal like the journalist hopes will bring a big problem to them, All it's neighboring countries hates them and there's no way to look past that, be prepared at all times.
