I-m not a fan of the - you should love yourself no matter what- love is an action word. It has to be backed up and proven by actions, if not it-s not love, it-s just empty words. Therefore pretending to love yourself, when all your decisions and actions show the opposite, is destructive behavior and is really just denial and self loathing. If you pretend to love yourself when you are treating your own body like garbage, what would be the reason for change? There-s absolutely nothing wrong with owning reality. We should encourage people to walk the walk which will lead to truly loving yourself, just as you did. A person in denial should be given Zero excuses. The biggest one being - love yourself no matter what- if we actually as a culture and society took this more serious, I think the percentage of 5% success and 95% failure in regards to lasting weight loss and maintenance would begin to change. That number is just sad! Less than 5% of weight loss journeys end in success. We should acknowledge how twisted that is. The lingo must change.

I was 283 I'm now on 267 in these past 2 months. I have an eating disorder with depression. It's so hard for me somedays to not binge eat. I get up everyday to workout. I'm not going to give up. Yes it's hard and sometimes I feel like quitting. So watching this makes me feel motivated. Also does anyone know of a good replacement shake? One that makes you feel fuller longer and taste good? Any help would be appreciated - thank you in advance.

I got big because my husband wouldn't allow me to work out or run. He was worried I would make a friend or a man might notice me. I finally couldn't take it. My body was breaking down. I had to be a better Mom.
I'm in a size 6 now.

I have so much respect for all these stories. Food addiction is the real deal. These people are such an inspiration and deserve so much credit. Especially the parents that choose to be an example their children can look up to.

I weigh 368 pounds and have high blood pressure so I've started the DASH diet and I've lost 6 pounds. I want to be healthy and not die due to my weight. Plus I hate the knee and back pain.
