We take our baby to slaughterhouse protests - my extraordinary family

We take our baby to slaughterhouse protests - my extraordinary family Andrew: Ara's father here. Relating to our statement on not accepting our daughter eating animal flesh nor secretions:
Choosing to pay for the torture, killing and then to eat the same type of animals she will grow up with like family is an absolute no no. Particularly when a decision like that would just be done for pleasure rather than necessity.
Most parents wouldn't tolerate their child choosing to participate in violent acts against a vulnerable victim when they've been taught to know better. And in the case of choosing to eat meat or dairy, it is not just a small case of bullying but has the far graver consequence of a farm animal being murdered / raped to impregnate and steal her child.
It would be similar to a parent being totally revulsed if their child were to get pleasure from killing and torturing a person. Perhaps a homeless person without any social ties and of comparably little consequence nor notice to a farm animal's death.
We will just ensure Ara knows the gravity of the seemingly benign act of accepting a well disguised animal body part or secretion from any non-vegan peers she may come into friendly contact with.
I am not saying I would disown my child for the affront of making a massively immoral back step, I am just saying that we would never accept that decision should she make it and would try our damndest to sway her from her folly. Peer pressure and rebelling against parents' expectations shouldn't lead a child to murder someone directly nor indirectly.
We would certainly feel like failed moral teachers if our student were to not grasp that fundamental principle.

Respect to them, they're doing all they can to raise awareness. My daughter was in battery farms and hen barns with me from when she was 6 or 7. I ran a caged hen rescue and my daughter was so compassionate. She would do what she could to help, talking soothingly to the crated hens and she would feed them and be so caring. I do hope when they go into farms, that they have a mask to put on their baby as there are lots of nasties inc dust that can be breathed in. My daughter was always dressed appropriately in overalls, with a hi viz vest and a face mask. She has grown up to be very compassionate, she is 19 now. I no longer run the hen rescue as I was dx'd with fibromyalgia after many years of strange aches, pains and other weird symptoms and when I had a major flare which put me in bed for nigh on a year, I realised the time was upon me to either pass the rescue to someone else, or to close down. Sadly I had to opt for the latter as none of my regular volunteers felt able to do all the organising and admin required. We didn't steal animals like these 'liberators'. We purchased them from the farmer by gazumping the meat men. The farmer didn't care where they went so long as he got his money.

Coming from a vegan who started taking their 3 year old to vigils, protests, and actions: please learn about how babies and children interpret the world around them as their brains are developing. It is crucial to know what is appropriate and not at each stage of development. No parent is perfect, especially with the first child. I regret taking mine so young as he became hyper aware with what was being eaten around him while in public, and developed anxiety. I believe in teaching the truth to our children, just in more developmentally appropriate ways now. And taking a young child to these events makes that impossible. The violent details they are exposed to, and in the way they are exposed in these settings, is not healthy for them. Showing such violent images to a baby, a child, that is what could be considered abuse.

-she can decide if she wants to drink and eat pizza, but eating meat we won't accept- nice to know you are already putting conditions on your child. We love you baby, unless you decide to have your own opinions and live your own life. This sounds EXACTLY like parents of LGBTQ+ kids who only love their child as long as they adhere to identical life style. No issues with your morals, live how you see fit. But forcing your child into a life they may not believe in and flat out stating you won't accept them if they choose different is what makes you a shitty parent. That little girl deserves love and acceptance from the people that created her, no matter what she chooses to be.

I am all for being an animal rights activist, and I have absolutely nothing against vegans (I myself am a strict lifelong vegetarian, and I know lots of vegan/vegetarian people, but you shouldn't force your kid to be vegan. Some people have to eat meat or dairy for medical reasons. What would they do if that happens to their kid? Let them be sick? It's fine to raise your kids as vegan, but if they want to eat meat, dairy, etc. later in life, let them. There's no reason to force them to eat how you do.

I won-t get on about their beliefs about meat, but will mention that humans need b12 for every part of life. From building proper blood cells, to brain function, to energy, we need it. Without it, you will die. It-s clear that b12 comes from meat and dairy, and vegan diets don-t provide some of the other needed vitamins. Please, for the love of everything that is good, if you-re vegan, take a b12 supplement! If you-re a parent, make sure your child gets enough!

HUMANS ARE NATURALLY OMNIVORES! We have evolved with canine teeth for a reason. Humans also share 99% DNA with Chimpanzees which are also omnivores. Yes I can agree on ethical reasons on how some animals are slaughtered, but there are also humane ways to do it. Also the parents saying that they won't accept their daughter eating meat is not their choice to make, and if they treat her differently for it then they are bad parents.

Bruh this is why vegans are so hated I have met several vegans and they were fine but people like this give them bad reps just let people eat meat if they want to you have no say in what I put in my body imagine if I told vegans they can't eat veggies cause they are killing plants and that's plant abuse they would be pretty annoyed humans have been eating meat for thousands of years and people are now deciding to not eat meat

Shes concerned about what her daughter is being born into but slaughterhouses is what shes worried about? What about the people getting slaughtered in the streets? And war and famine occurring across the globe. What about climate change. What about race religious and ethnic and LGBTQ+ rights issues. Priorities. Does she also know shes ruining the livelihoods of farmers?
reply

Careful what you say about her.
This woman is a true internet bully. She will slam you and bully you on her social media.
I know this cos I called her out for it then next minute all her minions literally threw some real abuse towards me.
This is how an extreme vegan acts, a real bully and always has to be right.

I mean when I have children I won't make non- vegetarian food at home but i'm not going to force them to follow that 24/7. If they want to eat meat at school or out with friends, they can, and i won't have a problem with it. I can pass on my ideals but kids need to also have the independence to form their own beliefs.
reply

All the disgusting people that are allowed to keep there children even though they are abused, all this lady is trying to do is make this vile world a better place, her lovely baby looks like he is doing very well whatever the diet shame there arnt a lot more caring people like them. Thanks for all you do. x

I have cousins who are vegan, they were never forced to be vegan. they are still normal to all of us and we don't care if they are vegan. We have to make stuff separate for them, but that doesn't change how we see them. like don't force some one to do something they probably don't want to do.
reply

It-s very clear these people have not thought out their actions and gameplan to the very end. If they got their wish, do they not realize meat eaters will go to physical war with them until the their death, have they not thought this out? Obviously.
reply

It's up to parents until kids are older enough to choose themselves, but health wise vegan and vegetarian diets are healthier for you and better for your health and reduces the risk of cancer and health problems but whatever people do it's up to them.
reply

that is so sick they wont exept their daughter if she eats animals what kind of parents do that and i can be dandarous to have such a small child on a vegan diet because she is not getting all the nutrition she needs to grow
reply

To be completely honest I am hundred percent agree with her that animals should not be eaten. But the thing is I found a little harsh that they would you not except their daughter just if she starts eating meat
reply

They really shouldn't be feeding farm animals. Sometimes (if not all the time) they get put down and discarded cuz they don't know if you've poisoned them or ruined their market value (grass fed, no gmo etc)
reply

My kids will be raised vegan, however if they chose to animal -products- when they grow and leave home, that-s on them. I would hope I-d raised them better than that, but I wouldn-t disown them over it.
reply

I wanted have a parents like them.
When I asked my mother why do I have to eat animals they-re same as my dog-when I was a little kid, she yelled at me and forced me to eat beef.
I-m vegan now.

reply

That babies face in the beginning. She already looks traumatized. I get fighting for animal rights but I personally think she's a little young for all this abuse and death thats being shoved at her
reply

this is why vegans are hated they force it on people but not all vegans some don-t care if you eat meat but the ones that force it on other people make the good vegans look bad like the vegan teacher
reply

So it seems to me like they care more about their beliefs, feelings, and opinions MORE THAN THEIR OWN CHILD! ------
How is this family even going to function when little Arabella is all grown up?

reply

Tbh this is ur choice that u don-t eat meat - but people like me who do you shouldn-t tell others to not eat meat each to there own i find that it-s bit wrong for a baby to be apart of this
reply

As long as when she is growing up you don-t overreach and immerse her in this lifestyle it-s ok. We grew up on dinosaur chicken nuggets and jello. Now if you stop feeding her meat, I-ll show up
reply

not the same but i really wanted to be a vegetarian cus i don-t like the idea of killing innocent animals for food but lmao i couldn-t even last a day i love meat so much i missed it hahaah
reply

Why don't they protest about slave labor used to make clothing or materials or they're nice houses or electronic devices made with slave labor that's something that needs to be talked about
reply

So her food looks like meat appearance wise (eg sausage and steak). That means you either crave it subconsciously. Why would the food she eats look like meat. Even tho it's vegan. How ironic
reply

You all say this women forced her child. And when you baptize your child is nothing else. And nobody seems to care, so just chill down. Is not like she do something bad to her child.
reply

They're allowed to protest that's not the problem, the problem here is that it's completely at the child's expense and taking away from what they're actually trying to achieve
