PARENTS of a transgender child refuse to let judgement from others get in the way of supporting their daughter with acceptance and love. Seven-year-old Ella, who was born Easton, has been socially transitioning over the last year after showing signs of gender-nonconforming. Both parents have received judgement online for Ella-s transition, with people going so far as accusing them of child abuse

More and more children are saying these things because the community is putting it out there. If it wasn't being pushed on kids in schools now, these kids wouldn't know. BECAUSE Boys PLAYED with barbies and girls PLAYED with GI Joe DOESNT MEAN THEY WANT TO BE THE OPPOSITE GENDER THEN THEY WHERE BORN. WHEN U MAKE A FUSS OF SOMETHING Or reprimand boys when they play with girls TOYS OR MAKEUP and girls with boys toys Your adding fuel to the fire. Don't make a big deal and let children be children and children and will again be children. things kids worry about should be hide and seek, the new video game coming out or that new bike or pony they wanted. Once your child has been involved in adult agenda they already have lost there childhood. The Toothfairy, Santa, the Easter bunny and so many more imaginary figures should be what kids are worrying about. So these kids believe in Santa but can choose there gender? Come on be realistic or ruin your kids childhood cause u will definitely have to tell them all those characters are fake, no Santa or easter bunny. But its ok cause you can focus on what gender you would like to be. Its like when you tell your child to close his eyes because a scene in the movie may have been to adult for them, INSTEAD You let them watch something that was too old for them and then they ask questions but can't totally understand what is going on because there brain is literally not old enough to truly understand.

I have no doubt in my mind that parents who support their children's transition think that they are doing it in their child's best interest. I have sympathy for those who have gender dysphoric children, parenthood is never a easy journey, coupled with other conditions makes it ten times harder.
However, we need to ask ourselves this question, do our children really understand the meaning of transition? Can they really understand what it means to lose the ability to have their own children? Should they be responsible for whatever medical complications that might occur after treatment and surgeries. Yes at this stage, it seems that Ella is just doing social transition but does the reinforcing of her confusion really help her? I myself went through a phase of gender confusion as a adolescent and now I am a happy mom-of-two. I think children under the age of 18 simply don't know the extent of the medical implications behind those procedures and they should be encouraged to make the decision after they become an adult.

Despite the fact that people should NEVER send death threats, parents should be aware that just because your four-year-old wishes to become a girl because of what they see does not necessarily mean that they should send death threats. They should not proceed with this at all! Once they reach adulthood, they may decide that they do not wish to be a girl anymore. There is a strange kind of mindset in children, and that is a mindset where, if they see something that they like, they want it. My eyes are just turned off by this, but a part of me understands the parents when they want their child to be happy, and I understand them.

I watch these stories and wonder if the parents talked to the children about gender non conformity, about how he can like pink and unicorns without socially transitioning and thinking of medically transitioning in the future. I mean the woman said at a young age she showed signs of being gender non conforming, how did they respond to that I wonder? You HAVE to wonder how parents fuel those feelings in young children. If they freak out and place a lot of importance on it, or have conversations about transgender identity where she can hear you, yes that may cause the child to say I was meant to be a girl.

The husband looks defeated. On another note, the parents need to make it clear to their child he is a -boy- biologically. Surgery won't change that. Modifying the birth certificate won't change that. Clothes won't change that. He can't give birth. He'll never menstruate. He'll never experience the physical qualities that only biologically born women can experience. As long as the kid grows up knowing that, then fine.

Another thing you should not be giving your child what they want like that I will say I had issues as a child, but I would never ever turn myself into a woman because God created me who he wanted me to be. There was a time that I wanted to be a girl, but I knew that God created me a man for a reason. This really really saddens me that she basically made this boy or a girl because he told you to make him a girl.
reply

You are some sick, perverted parents how dare you do this to your child that is child abuse and that is sickening. God created that precious boy to be a boy not a girl if God wanted him to be a girl he would-ve made him a girl I would hate to see you on judgment day, and now this boy, because he is not a girl I feel sorry for him. I will never condone this whatsoever and you are to be ashamed of yourself.

My five old said hes an alien from mars. So we now respect his right to express my his inner alien.
We have shaved his head, and tattooed his skin green.
We totally support his decision which was no way affected by us (his reprobate parents.
I, believe my job, as a parent is to let my kid do whatever they want and let them make life altering decisions based on junk science and fads.

Can't tell people how to raise their kids. I always hated my name because it was a guy's name. Also, it seemed like ugly boys had my name. After some time, i grew to love it, and as a woman with a historically male name, it made me feel special. Sometimes, you should grow to love yourself for you. There's always going to be something about yourself you dont like. But to each its own.

Easton is only seven years old therefore his brain is still developing. The human brain finishes developing during someone's mid-to-late 20s.
He is not old enough to make such a decision. I'm glad his parents aren't gendering clothes and long hair but still. once he hits puberty nobody is going to be calling him -she-.

reply

It's not hurting anybody, mom? It's hurting your son! It will all backfire when he realizes you didn't protect him and instead exploited him, and it will all turn on you, and he'll suffer the destruction of this evil. You haven't done the research because there isn't any. Your child IS the research experiment.
reply

This is what the usa is doing this is child abuse. There are no haters we want children out of this propaganda its sad because he is a child and their brains aren't even developed at age 6 if people support this, theyre sick in the head, a child cannot consent to this monstrosity -
reply

I don-t think it should be allowed to do this because they actually do not know 100% what they wanna do like this kind of decision. I think it should be against the law but guess what I still respect and I would be their friend that doesn-t mean I will support them.
reply

Gender confused or distressed kids need to be lovingly confirmed. For who they ARE. They shouldn't have to undergo harmful changes to their anatomy or physiology to be OK with who they are. You can be gender non-conforming and KEEP the beautiful body that you were given.
reply

no matter what the circumstances i would wait till my kid is atleast 16 years old when hes more mature and sure 100 % when it comes to fully transisioning. at this age subtle changes are ok like long hair or something but i would waitt to go further.
reply

I hope you ain't thinking about cutting off you know what I know y'all know what happened to that boy it was turning transgender he was 14 or something whatever it whatever the f--- is age was that well he happily died he happily. Still being a man
reply

Letting kids make this decision is just a sign of bad parenting, who in their right mind lets a 4 year old boy decide that he is a girl. If they kept him away from the internet at this age he would have been just fine, disgusting.
reply

If your son says he wants to be a girl, ask him why he wants to be that way. If he says because he wants long hair and like dolls, tell him he can have long hair and play dolls but that doesn-t make him a girl
reply

No, he is not. He does not have a fully developed frontal cortex until she reaches 25. That is the part of the brain that understands that choices have consequences. To say this is ok is a disgrace!
reply

you can tell the mother really wanted a girl. the mother has pushed this BOY into thinking hes a girl, this is sick and the parents should be publically executed. or life in prison without parole.
reply

Parents like these need to b put in jail. this is child abuse. I don't understand how people can't discipline their children without getting cps called on them but this is ok. disgusting.
reply

Take this child away from this family because they are letting their child run them. I-m glad my mom didn-t make me believe I was actually a fairy mermaid when I was 6.
reply

-They do not ''support their daughter'' they make their son Deeply disturbed as he gets older. They are letting the boy live in an imaginary world smh. Poor kid. -
reply

Another Jazz Jennings in the making. This country and these parents who are doing this to their children should be dragged through the streets. Yeah publicly executed!
reply

Okay first of all thes too young to be transgender and too young to understand about the LGBTQ community, that knowledge needs to get out of were poor little mind
reply

I am 24 year old woman and my mom doesn't agree with even dying my hair because it may damage them. Kids are really having it easy these days.
reply

This is not right, the kid was 7! He will never experience periods, birth or anything biological women do. Shame on you parents.
reply

The world is a better place when people are happy. As long as they aren't hurting anyone, who cares? If you like it i love it.
reply

There are no transgender kids, only messed up, , virtue signaling, attention seeking, and utterly disgusting, trans parents.
reply

If the child said he is a pirate, would the parents agree with that or only when its another gender because it's trendy?
