We should have a health plan, for, pre-diabetics borderline diabetics & late stage diabetics. For example these people should be educated on the symptoms of diabetes, the damage it causes to the body such as blindness, kidney failure, edema, by-pass surgery, annurysim, heart attack & stroke. Because firstly prevention is better than cure, the country will save millions of dollars in kidney transplant, insulin & heart surgery. Afterall diabetes leads to all these diseases. Heart disease is the biggest killer in the world, followed by stroke. People need to wake up & smell the roses, because we eat to live & Not live to eat. This health plan should incorporate dietians, doctor's & exercise, before it's too late. Diabetes affects more than 450 million worldwide annually, & in the USA alone every 4 mins a person is added to the kidney transplant list. People must avoid stroke at all costs, because if you get a stroke an effort that used to take you 4%, after a stroke it will take you 70%. You can still enjoy your fast & fine foods & live a healthy & satisfied life.
Diabetes is reversible, even in the late stages, but the sooner you have a healthy diet & make it a habit, the longer your life expectancy will be. I wish I had studied the symptoms & damage diabetes causes & I would have taken drastic action 20 years ago. Just look up the symptoms of a stroke, because I don't want anyone to ho through a stroke.
--------. It's also the responsibility of diabetics obey their homework & comply with the health plan.

Losing weight is easy once you get that light bulb moment and that every single thing you hear on mainstream media is a lie about weight loss. Almost everyone in our age group (high 50's) is double our size. My wife is 116lbs at 5'8 and I'm 158lb at 6'2. It has -nothing- to do with exercising, taking pills or shakes or some fad diet, or even calories in or calories out. What it's all about is not eating processed food ( which is all junk full of sugar and highly processed flour and soy. Avoid that and you will easy lose weight and you don't even have to count calories. You don't even have to exercise, but I recommend doing so for health & fitness reasons rather than for weight control.
Once your used to this way of eating, go into intermittent fasting to lose even more weight while improving your health at the same time.
PS. It's not easy giving up sugar and refined flour once you realize that almost every -food- item in a packet is mostly comprised of this. In case you haven't realized this, that means skipping breakfast cereal (its all junk, bread, pasta, muesli bars, biscuits & cakes. For example, my meals are all meat, dairy, vegetables and some fruit. Things that don't have labels on it I classify as real food.

I will tell you something that you said and is true of me too, (I cut out dairy and gluten and comitted to a calorie deficit in August 21, I also burn an average of 300 cals) I think the secret is deciding you are going to do this once and never again. I find that I have established an eating plan that keeps me happy and I am happy with the exercise I do now. In the first couple of weeks it was definately uncomfortable and I had to build up to the 45 minutes I do now. Not wanting to ever repeat that discomfort is what sustains me on my eating plan. You cant lose weight without the calorie deficit and exercise. Once I had that straight and the fact I dont want to repeat it, it was pretty much plain sailing. I was 89kg at the beginning of August, today on 10th October I am 84kg and still reducing. Once I get to midway on the healthy BMI I will stop and maintain my eating plan and exercise (probably do more walking with HIIT, than the gym bike and resistance stuff I do now) You look fantastic xx

this opened my eyes. i never heard of binge eating before and i think this is exactly what i suffer from. it happens every evening, i suddenly shove chips (crisps) with cheesedip, chocolate, crackers, pasta, anything i can grab into me. usually i keep going for about 2 hours of eating non stop, until i am extreme full and/or it's time for bed. i suffer from ptsd and depression since 21 years. up until 2 years ago i never had weight issues, but 2 years ago i got a back injury and had to undergo surgery and a long rehab process. in that time i added 30 kg of weight and it made me very angry and sad. this is when the binge eating started. i hate being chubby and i don't feel good the way i look now. i also hate that i have difficulties to take on socks or shoes. i hate my thighs rubbing together and giving me burning skin in summer. i hate to see me in the mirror. but i couldn't find a way out of this yet. due to a chronical lung disease i am unable to hit the gym. what am i supposed to do? :(

I was naturally skinny all my life and eating everything i wanted. But i grew up in a modest family and my parents cooked a lot with no process food. Starting working as a professional and being a mom i gain weight. As everyone, i did my research, my introspection, did gym for 8 years and diet. I lost weight and gain it all. I knew i need something more durable than a quick fixe to change. I thought changing career as i was sitting in the office 40 hrs per week. I change job to work 35h/week so i have the time to cook healthy meals everyday for my family and myself. I found a way i to include exercice while i am working. actually i walk 10 km during my day work. I do fasting 8: 16. Now i find back my old me. I no need to stress to the gym. and calculating calories.

Now try doing that with several health conditions that make it difficult for you to walk, breathe, do anything, have a stable heart rate, difficult for you to digest at various random times so you ping pong between very very thin and unhealthy to very very big and unhealthy.
Oh and you're doing this all while you're recovering from a dissection while you are moving several states away.
Oh and you have to take care of three dogs and three children. Yeah it's a real wonder why people don't do this.

Eeek, as both someone who has dealt with bulimia and binge eating (and as with any addiction knowing that it never fully goes away and rears it ugly head sometimes) and as a mother- First I applaud you! This is very inspirational! I know you-re mom means well but some comments were a bit -yikes-. I really have to check myself as a mother and what I say to my children regarding their size and weight. I make comments too -just wanting to help- and I look back and kick myself for.

I was always very slim with eating a lot. Everyone in my family is very slim.
Then I got chronical diarrhea and gained 80 pounds in total. After gaining approx 30 pounds I started to eat less and less. But I went on gaining and gaining. I do eat 2 small, healthy meals a day in the mean time.
No doctor is able to help me. Or actually I have the feeling they are not interested in helping me. I know it's a health issue that is causing my overweight. But what is it?

reply

Iam a bit confused! you said at minute 2. 10 that However many calories we have burned we should eat less than that?
So if I have burned 600 calories for example I should only intake 500-550 cals in a day? How does that make sense?
Surly no one can survive or live off such small amount of cals.
Some people may only burn between 5-600 cals a day so really that is not great advice to give anyone. I-m not having a go but it-s not healthy is it.

This is the type of story I am always looking for: where someone finds the motivation and will to loose weight in something positive: her wedding and relationship. Too many times it is a divorce, breakup, or rejection that FINALLY gets the person committed to loosing weight. I really wish more people could find the motivation without revenge or anger being the trigger.

Thank you I gained so much weight during toxic relationship in 2007/2008. I still are in same weight, 220lbs (college student, walk so much but NEVER bother to do real exercise) now I'm engaged and have 1 kid together. This video trigger me to lose my weight before my wedding dream. For my kids sake (1 cat, stepson n daughter) but mostly for my fiance

It's not always about eating bc alot of people actually binge eat but don't actually gain weight like crazy so. Doctors don't know what it really is exactly every case is different & they do suspect good bacteria vs bad bacteria in the gut microbiome. They are studying it & they soon will come up with a way to combat the problem.

She had a plan in mind and she executed it. Discipline and determination. Easy to say it, but to do it. I like that girl.

Binge eating is a disorder now? - Nobody wants to take accountability anymore, just admit that your greedy and that's totally fine.
Don't sugar coat it

1-2K calories a meal? More like 4-5K.
On Healthy Keto + IF, one easts 1-2K calories each meal, just no carbs.
