Nathalie Richert, 22, from Sweden, is a model with ichthyosis, a rare genetic condition which causes a build-up of red, scaly skin. However, Nathalie is one of only 20 people in the world with a form of the condition known as -ichthyosis with confetti- - in which the scaly skin is broken up by confetti-like patches of healthy skin. Growing up Nathalie struggled with insecurities due to her physical appearance but has now embraced her condition, posing for a number of professional modelling shoots and educating people about ichthyosis on her social platforms. In this episode we meet Nathalie at home with her cousin Siri before she heads out to meet a photographer to pose for some shots for her modelling portfolio

I actually have that same skin condition (ichthyosis) but I have a very mild form of it. My skin has gotten so much better as I've gotten older. Even the top of my scalp has gotten better. Also the top of my scalp has gotten a lot better as well I don't have caked on dandruff. All my skin has done is flake and during the winter I flake even more. During the summer I get as much sun as I possibly can by going on lots of walks. I'm very blessed I don't have it that badly.
Also she's beautiful!

Of all the docu-s I-ve watch on this skin disease she is the best looking case. Not meaning her features but her skin. Some of the other ones I watched is just so heartbreaking even more. I-m just glad she doesn-t have to go through the extreme. She is a beautiful girl inside and out and I wish her nothing but the best in life and whatever she chooses to continue doing.

What a beautiful role model you are to the world. You have a wonderful personality and you are beautiful inside and out. You are right, if someone doesn't like the way you look they are shallow and you don't need their negativety in your life -

This is very inspiring, we can all learn a lot from her, how to feel comfortable in our skin, and how to love ourselves more and be compassionate and kind to ourselves. Often we are our own worst critic.

There are so many videos with -skin growing too fast- lol. Switch it up. I-ve seen one different one every few days for a couple months. Same thing, different accent

I think being her friend youd have to learn to let things go a lot more. It would make me fuming if people were rude. I'd wanna fight lol

You're beautiful strong and courageous. I have skin condition so understand the pain and discomfort well done for showing the world youre beauty

She-s beautiful. It-s ridiculous for people to not know about the condition and behave ignorant and rude towards such a kind and real person.

Hey if you can I have a way to help her if you could tell her to get in contact with me that would be great. You can write back on here

She really is beautiful. I-m not surprised she got into modeling. Those pictures with the striped sweater on were so pretty

Yes, yes, yes! If she doesn-t have a problem with it, no one else should! She-s gorgeous on the outside and inside! ---

I don-t mean to be whatever but I have a serious question what would happen if you were to get a tattoo?
