OSMARI, who has struggled with weight since childhood, has managed to lose over 100lbs in two years - and find a confidence she never had before. Osmari, from Miami, started gaining weight when she was a young child and at her heaviest was over 290lbs, facing Type 2 Diabetes. Osmari told Truly: -I-m extremely proud of myself - you can literally do anything you set your mind to. - Osmari-s initial weight gain stemmed from a deeply traumatic childhood experience, which resulted in her overeating: -I never realised that my childhood trauma was directly linked to my weight, she said

One thing that can help with the loose skin is Vicks vapor rub and some Saran wrap. Wrap that skin up and do ur normal everyday life and watch the skin shrink and the sweat fall esp when you do ur normal workout routine! I'm a witness and after having my last child recently I've gotten in my head again and started to see that I need to get my workout life back! Mind u before I found out I was preggo, I was losing some weight because I was trying to start my journey again. lol needless to say now, that my whole mid section screams -yes to bread-, and other Carby starchy food that I just can't seem to stop eating. And I'm finally healing enough from a ruptured uterus and c section scar that I can start my light walks. I can't wait u til I can get to the part where I can go hard or go home and really start feeling good again! Ur story inspired me and tysm for this whoever u r and wherever you may be, blessings to you and congrats on your new journey of the grand introduction of this new version of you! Keep going and keep motivating ppl! It's working! -

When I was small i had a grandma who was plus size. I loved how soft she was. I always wanted to be big, but we were worked so hard as children, and we never had enough to eat. I was always hungry. When I got on my own I finally got to eat what I could afford to buy. I got to a size 20 in the US. I loved feeling invisible. I got down to a size 2 naturally. I feel much better, but I worry I will want to get big again because I hate the attention from men. It is so uncomfortable. I hate their looks. I wish I was big because of that, but I don't want to be unhealthy and feel like I did before. It was so much harder to do everything.

Osmari looks incredible. I-m so glad that she mentioned how childhood trauma impacts a person-s weight. Those who experienced trauma are twice as likely to become addicted to food or abuse food than those who did not. Studies show that about 6 million people who are obese or morbidly obese have experienced significant trauma in their life. This is a piece that needs to be looked at when treating obesity.

I don-t feel similar to a lot of people, but a lot of things she said reminded me of myself. When she said -you can-t do it if you don-t try hard enough-. Or when she said she used to hide -behind layers- (clothes. Sometimes I dress really old fashioned because I feel it fits my body. But I want to feel better and look better, and be healthier.

Trauma had a direct relationship to my weight gain. I used it as a way of hiding. I learned being pretty was dangerous! People want to touch you and use your body if you are too attractive. Strength training was so helpful. Good luck everyone -- NEVER GIVE UP! Don-t be a prisoner in your body!

Its great you lost all that weight, I congratulate you. But learning to love that baggy skin? Don't be absurd. It looks ugly. Just because you're stuck with it, doesnt make it any better and doesnt mean you should make excuses for it to make it look pretty. It's not.

--The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago and the next best time is now-- I consider this to be best motivational quote I've heard in a very long time. But motivational quotes are useless if you don't practice what you preach-

I think she looks great even with the loose skin, but if she feels like she needs it removed for herself I can understand that. My opinion doesn't really matter but I don't think she needs it removed because she already looks so good

What a shining star! Thanks for sharing your story, sadly I can relate to the reason you turned to food for comfort - it's way too common! But I loved your comment about not becoming a statistic, claim your power back --

Working out n eating healthy pay off more than getting procedures done she developed true confidence in herself and developed great habits she never would-ve gotten if she took the easy way like most.

Her soul is beautiful and it-s a shame that childhood trauma stops us from moving forward in life. I-m soo happy she pushed through and overcame her trauma and continues to grow. She looks amazing -

Honestly, your loose skin isn't bad. I can see why you accepted your imperfections cause you see them as perfections (as we all do.

I'm way older than her, and if she thinks that's loose skin, she will have a new one coming if she gains weight and loses it again when she's older

You go girl! That lose skin is no joke. I hatr my arms but I'd rather the lose sking than the fat arms that's can't fit into anything.

My parents used to force me to eat. It was devastating and so painful as a child having food I didn-t want being forced into me.

I lost 200lbs and I hate my loose skin. But I'd rather have loose skin then to weigh 400lbs again. She looks great!
