A young man who dresses head to toe in pastel pink kawaii style is hoping to inspire others to express themselves through fashion. Jake, from Montreal, Canada, has been inspired by Japanese Harajuku fashion for the last five years and has never felt more confident. Jake told Truly: -Dressing a certain way doesn-t compromise your masculinity, it-s fun to be colourful! - Jake insists it-s -really difficult to be in a bad mood when dressed head to toe in pink- and hopes others will find the confidence to express themselves through other styles too

I want to clarify that I have ZERO issue with him dressing this way, and I like all of their styles. But the thing that doesnt make sense to me about this is the sentence said over and over again. -You can dress like this and still be masculine- that word literally has a definition of stereotype. -Having qualities or appearance -traditionally associated- with men- is the literal definition of the word, meaning the word itself is literally the stereo type. You would have to be stereo typically manly to fit that word.

This is what our society is becoming. Makes me extra grateful that we still have some real men left. Once they've all reached this level of soy, it's all over folks. Society will just collapse. --------------------------
THAT doesn't change your -masculinity-? You clearly don't know what masculinity is, as you do not have it!

Dude you-re just cringy, not cute or masculine at all. And all your (girl)friends are just ugly, trying desperately to get an attention. There-s a dark story behing all this, not -expressing yourself-. But it-s your life and freedom to do whatever you want as long as it doesen-t harm nature or other living beings.

Do u like Endigo? I'm 52 f and would say I dress fairly normal. Don't dress in a way that really stands out. I love the way Endigo and his gf dress. Not sure if it would be in the same genra as ur dress bit I think it looks similar. Anyway keep being u. Having a more. original style is awesome!

I'm glad he feels comfortable in his own skin but it's hella feminine lol you're wearing a dress, nothing masculine about your appearance. But to each their own, whatever floats your boat - and what's with this style and bubble tea lol? They always go get bubble tea

He is so adorable; ) I have never seen a man dress like this, but I think it's great that he is so comfortable being who he is and seems to be really having fun. He would be so much fun to go shopping with and dress up with

I get that what we define as masculine and feminine is an arbitrary designation, but it's culture that defines it, not the individual. His style is feminine, and im confused as to why he is insisting it's masculine. You do you

Its not that colourful he keeps saying but its mostly pink its not colourful its just light and pastel which is fine but I don't see a lot of colour variation or tonal variation.

I'm into kawaii stuff, but I like Dark things to, my asthetic can be described as pastel goth, and I'm inspired by Melanie Martinez, Ashnikko, and Jazmine Bean.

I am crocheting Catnana. and Kawai blankets and other things.
Love your style and your personality is great!
Your voice is relaxing.

I've seen kawaii stuff on the internet, or in a store, or in Roblox, or everywhere, I'm assuming, and that's how I got my kawaii style from there, I'm assuming.

I-m not really into the kawaii look personally but I-m all about expressing yourself- the way that make you feel good and confident! Go Jake and friends! ---

I would have been even further impressed if he broke the norm by inventing stereotypical male clothes but in all the various bright colors etc.

His voice sounds so fake like a trans boy I think this is a -trans femboy- which is very weird and wrong this is basically a woman

They look amazing but I can tell I'm getting old because my thought is -going to the toilet in all that lot must be a nightmare! -

Score one for Jake! He is definitely not afraid to express himself no matter how many people criticize his style!
reply

Good for him but just one thing he said, that it looks masculine, it does not look masculine. It looks feminine.
reply

Good for him. Dressing the way you want is such an unsaid struggle, especially for masculine-presenting people.
reply

I too love kawaii and pastels. I get some hate; with people saying that I don't dress like a normal girl
reply

How old are these people? Where are they getting their money? I don't think Zoe's parents are wealthy.
