Oh darling, my heart breaks for you, and also for your mother. My daughter doesn't have FND, but she does have epilepsy. Uncontrolled epilepsy. Everything your mum said is absolutely true. It's heartbreaking to watch your child in a seizure. It's even more heartbreaking when we as mother's can't prevent these seizures. I feel guilty when I can't prevent my daughter from falling and hurting herself, resulting in an ambulance ride to the hospital. I'm so glad you have a beautiful family who love and care and support you. You should be very proud of yourself for being so determined and strong.

I used to have frequent seizures so the statement she made about trying so hard to not let it happen really hit home. I know how that feels. They used to come on at the least convenient times. I had more out in public than at home which was VERY embarrassing due to having bladder and bowel incontinence nearly every time I seized. Never qualified for a dog or anything to help though. Not was I ever paralyzed. Temporarily maybe but never long term.

I also have conversion disorder, seizures and ticks are a big thing going on right now, I-ve had paralysis but never lasted more then 3 days. Unfortunately a couple years ago I had a seizure at the top of my stairs and fell down all them. I had dislocated my shoulder and broken my neck and caller bone was horrible, been about 2 weeks since my last seizure thank god I-ve been doing better, hang in there lovely you aren-t alone

I relate to the seizures, I have epilepsy. Having that first seizure I had, it was so scary and nauseating. I was 9 years old, scared the absolute daylights outta my Mom, Dad and younger brother. I have grandmal seizures, the big ones, the episodes. not so much. I can also relate to the feeling of lacking independence. That sucks, it's so not fair, I just hope for you to be seizure free one day. -

As someone who also experiences a chronic illness, needing your mom to clarify/know that she knows the answer to all your treatment questions even when you don't warms me, for example, I ask my mom once a year what I've been diagnosed with cause I always forget but she doesn't and that makes me also sad knowing my life/illness is impacting her that much more than me.

All people who say/think -they don't look disabled- need a reality check! I've got a degenerative disease that causes a lot of pain and cluster headaches which are insane and although I don't look disabled I am not ok. Just remember there is a big net of what's disabled from not too bad to really severe but all deserve compassion and respect.

I also have FND, was diagnosed about 7 years ago when I kept having seizures. I went into a period of remission and then they came back and haven-t gone away. Other symptoms I have is bladder retention, blindness, I can go unresponsive, lose feeling in my legs, trouble swallowing, nausea and vomiting, dystonia and severe tics.

if your wondering how to prevent seizures make sure
that you move objects out of the way you need to stay at
1 to 2 meters apart from her and put something soft under
her head let her have the seizure when it stops just let
her come around on her own when she does a glass of cold water helps

I-ve been diagnosed with a random brain condition and I-ve started getting seizures every day and my husband has become my full-time caretaker so I resonated with us so much and thank you for showing me that you can still be amazing and beautiful and powerful even when you have a chronic illness

A friend of mine was wrongly diagnosed with FND and it turned out she had PANDAS just from a strep infection. She had very similar episodes. Hopefully she has been rightly diagnosed with FND and been tested for PANDAS as PANDAS can be managed with just steroids and antibiotics.

A neurological disorder doesn't do the exact same thing everyday, because that's the thing with your brain, it's very malleable, I have epilepsy and I can tell you right now that I don't seizure everyday nor do I have the same amount of shocks/contractions everyday

I will never understand why people feel the need to be so mean! We can't control everything that happens to us and to be so downright mean and nasty about someone's -differences- is ridiculous! We should he supporting each other and learning about these things!

I-m so appreciative of her share. Her strength and beauty speaks volumes. I wish her so much peace and happiness. Watching her cry, stating she has lost so much confidence made me want to grab her and tell her how amazing & beautiful she is. -

FND isn-t rare. Professionals just don-t bother with it. They spend their time gaslighting us and tossing us aside because they think it-s just -in our heads- a lot more research would be done it they weren-t such complete haters

I went through something similar. doctors claimed I was faking seizures. when I had an mri with exposure to flashing lights it was shown that I had a seizure. it's exhausting and I never got treatment because it's paid only

It always makes me mad when people say, -you don't look disabled. - You never know what's going on in someone's life, so I don't think it's okay to say that someone doesn't look disabled.

Probably from a vaccine. Be aware of that horrible HPV vaccine. Very dangerous. You tube removes them. But this happy to a group of girls in Columbia at a school about 60 all at once.

My mum's cousin's daughter has fnd and started having symptoms when she was about 13 and she's 15 now. She was on her way to being a professional ballerina but that's all changed now

I wonder if she had a vaccine before this happened. Many people suffer neurological damage after shots and doctors never connect the dots.

It-s amazing how dogs can help us humans with medical interventions when they can-t even really speak.
