I lost all my teeth at 17 - shake my beauty

FAITH, 23, from Missouri, was addicted to meth for over six years, causing her to lose friends, weight - and all her teeth. She explained to Truly how her drug use began: I started using with friends, it was a cool thing to do, smoke weed and drink. Then next thing I knew I was chasing this high. Adding that, in her addiction it got so bad to where I thought I'd be better off without life. She was addicted to hard drugs for six years, and during that time she neglected her self-care, and in particular, her dental hygiene. This caused her teeth to slowly start to deteriorate. I had my first chip tooth and rot tooth, and then it just kind of went downhill from there, she said. Now sober, Faith had a set of dentures fitted, and she has been opening up about her experience on TikTok. She is urging others to steer clear of drugs while working to break the stigma around dentures. For her, they have given her a newfound sense of confidence and affected her health positively, after losing weight from the pain of her tooth loss. Once I got used to eating with my dentures, I gained weight because I was so excited to eat food that I just kept eating food super fast. Faith proudly takes out her dentures online, wanting to break the stereotype that only 'old people' wear dentures

I lost mine at a young age as well because of a ex beating on me. I tried to hide it from people but a few people found out and told everyone in the cliquey little town I lived in and the judgment from people put me into major depression, felt like I was trash and not worthy. Funny part a lot of them were -Christians- your no true Christian treating people like that. Luckily I had the chance to move and I never looked back, they were the trash not me. She is a beautiful girl inside and out and I hope she never endures what I did.

I went through a very similar situation at a very young age of 15years old. Now I still have no teeth and I can't afford to get dentures. Im only 34 years old now and I live paycheck to paycheck trying my best to raise my 9 year old son practically by myself. I wish more than anything that I could get dentures so I can actually smile when I take pictures with my son. Hope you are still doing well.

Very inspiring. I am missing most of my teeth/front teeth; or are broken to the gum. I-m terrified to get the work done but I can-t keep feeling so Unconfident and always wondering what someone is thinking of them or watch the energy change when they see your teeth: ( it-s def very hard. This tho is amazing, shows me my sobriety is heading in the right direction thank you in time

I'm trying to get implants. I have a short palate. Insurance will cover 6 grand. I'll be going through the dental college. Accepting prayers that insurance will cover it in total.
You look magnificent by the way.
I am truly happy for you. Your videos are what made me decide to get them. -

You are a very pretty young lady and you are so brave for getting on social media and showing the world what you look like without your teeth. I had my top ones done about 7 or 8 years ago and I still can't do that yet! I really do admire you for that.

I am so happy she got out of her addiction. She is a beautiful girl inside and out. I have bad teeth and am finally getting my teeth all fixed. From mental health, bad genes, and my pregnancies my teeth have seen better days.

She must have already had poor dental hygiene and habits. Or very weak teeth. At her age it is highly unusual. Most people lots older than her still have teeth. Weird
Okay, see? Grandma had no teeth at an early age.

Bad teeth run in my family. Most of the women in my family got dentures young. My grandmothers look so natural she got them when she was 27. False teeth was never a big deal to me they just seem so normal to me.

I can relate with this video because I have had a long addiction and I have bad teeth because of it and I am trying to get them fixed now but I have been clean for 10 years now but my teeth are beyond fixable

I know in the USA dentistry is so expensive, so travel to the middle east and get implants. With time the bones will disappear so it's better to have teeth implanted to protect your mouth bones

Omg I love her so much! She literally helped me to finally make a appointment for the dentist I-m still deathly scared of the dentist but I know I need to go through with this.

I really hope this doesn-t happen to me because I-m currently depressed and very lost in my life. And sadly my family and friends are not supporting me through my hard times. -

Life is not short at all. I'm 72 and I can tell you that 72 years is a very long time. I don't know why people say life is short. It's short only for people who die young.

Similar story for me to, addict from 15 to 27 mostly crack but would smoke anything, had all my teeth pulled when I was 30, going on 12 years clean with a few slip ups -

I wish I had dental coverage. Dental issues suck. Drs put you on medication n don't tell you the effect it would have on your teeth. Please can a dentist help me?
reply

It's startling how integral the teeth are to the structure of the cheeks, to essentially fill them out. Without them it ages a person by decades

Thank you for your video. Im so happy your happy and can smile again. Can i ask please are the full dentures comfortable. Thank you.
reply

I cannot bring myself to feel sympathetic when she did not heed the warnings that I'm sure were reiterated daily

I mean more power to this lady. But pulling your teeth out while everyone's eating, come on man, noooooo!
reply

You have crawled up from a lot of things and now you are here.
